I worked at Fenwick full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

floor staff are amazing, you get to work with fantastic people xx
Its always good to have a department store on your CV ;)

    Cons

Management and customer service team are so customer oriented, they put you down and make you look stupid to satisfy their customers, They dont know how to follow their own policy, they simply dont know how to deal with angry customers, and the result is all customers have learnt that if they come over with an abusive attitude they get what they want (refund on worn/damaged item, Refund with no receipt and etc.) and sale assistants are the ones who get bullied, shouted at and abused on daily basis..
you make a complain about the poor management or you try to stand up for your rights and you will be called in HR and they shut you down like you're nothing.
Customers have learnt to be abusive to staff so you might even get shouted at or someone swear at you because you dont have their size and they call you names, security,HR, customer service and etc. dont do anything about it, by law you can refuse serving this kind of customer because if you do, you're in trouble!!! they make you apologise to that person and you will be guilty of ruining company reputation...
I worked in bond st. branch couple of years ago it was alright but in BRENT CROSS you get bullied by management and staff on everyday basis...

    Advice to Management

Run an anonymous survey between floor staff pls.
Customer service team need more training on how to deal with angry customers.
    Customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT.
