A lot of perks. Many people are extremely welcoming and warm, even the attorneys. Good benefits and average pay.
Some supervisors in the Billing & Collections Department run the Department with an iron fist. They act more like military officers and the Manager doesn’t like any sort of opposition regardless of how insightful or constructive it may be. The Department has a high turn over due to some difficult personalities. Also, they say is a permanent position, and that’s a huge lie. The position is a Temp to Hire and everyone in the Department will make feel (even go out their way) like you’re a temp,
Even after the 90 day probation period is over, they continue to give you performance reviews and threaten to fire you if you make one mistake!

The San Francisco office at least is in a lovely location, and the interior decoration is nice.
It's very stratified. Although attorneys depend on administrative staff, the two classes of employees are treated completely differently, not only in terms of respect but in the matter of what benefits each is eligible to receive. It makes it difficult to have a cohesive work culture.
Advice to Management
You may have employees performing different functions, and of course the attorneys should be more highly compensated, but unless you can do without the administrative staff you should make it clear that they're valued. Solicit and listen to their opinions.
