I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Coffee and christmas parties are good.

    Cons

Another one of those "customer's always right" companies and the customers are a bunch of rude, pissed off plumbers and contractors

    Advice to Management

    Lead by example

I have been working at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Going home at the end of the day.

    Cons

    - Being timed for using the restroom.
    - Outdated equipment.
    - Lack of leadership
    - Lack of coverage.
    - Very much a call center.
    - Poor/dangerous facility grounds.

In the year I've been here, there has been two active shooters reported on the campus. Break ins are somewhat common in the parking area.

You will be absolutely exhausted at the end of the workday supporting many systems with very little coverage, poor performers, and lack of guidance.

If that's not enough, Ferguson severely underpays its employees even compared to lesser support positions. If you have an opportunity elsewhere, please consider your options. This place is the very definition of overworked/underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Hire actual managers instead of seat fillers. Management frequently take long breaks and are very poor at handling high volume and major system incidents/downtime.

Most managers have proven to have little to no knowledge in the part of the business they're managing.

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Stable job and low pressure. No need to work hard and perform well.

    Cons

Pays ok (considering the lack of better paid IT jobs in the area) but not great. Bloated IT dept with lots of politics.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the IT headcount by half. Boost the salary by 50% to attract better talents.

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time

    Pros

You accrue a decent amount of time off.

    Cons

You need the time off because branches are understaffed. You find yourself being forced to do a lot of work that you were never told about / far outside your scope of work and that you don't get paid for. They are also good about making promises and telling you things that will never happen to get you to agree to taking a job or staying on board.

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Ok benefits, overtime which I like, paid vacation, I like some co- workers, easy to learn job, weekends off, and holidays pay.

    Cons

Managers and leads like choosing favorites and do not appreciate hard working people, they keep people that shouldn't have made it past 90 days for some reason and push hard working people to pick up their slack. They do not compensate people fairly based on their skills or abilities to complete their task. Vacation time policy is horrible , can't get time off approved unless is 6 months requested in advance, pushing people to continuously call in sick to get time off, then they act surprised why people can't show up to work.

    Advice to Management

Stop favoritism, be fair on hard working individuals, listen to associates when suggesting good positive changes, or at leas act like you care. Follow all policies the same way you preach to associates.

    Pros

Co-workers are mostly friendly. Training is readily available for other jobs.

    Cons

Warehouse management is literally a tree of nepotism. If you don't get in good with them as soon as you start, you won't go anywhere in this place. The warehouse manager will smear you during evals and not be able to explain why he gives you the scores he does.

    Advice to Management

G.O.A.L. Get Out And Look. Warehouse slogan. Actually use it instead of taking other peoples word as gospel.
