    Pros

I have been at Ferrara & Company for many years and I can honestly say that I am surrounded by some of the most talented people in the industry. Every year I have seen this company grow into something more. The energy and thinking that goes into each project both creatively and from account/strategy is astonishing.
There’s such a range of creatives assigned to each project paired with an account team that knows the brands in and outs that we can confidently deliver and exceed expectations year after year for our clients. Such a great company to work for, and it’s a company that will continue to stay current and grow side by side with it’s clients.

    Cons

Since the company has grown larger and fast... there are some things that could have transitioned better, but feel it was pretty smooth transition.

I worked at Ferrara and Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small agency which allows good work to get noticed. Nice family feel.

    Cons

Due to small size, the account and creative team is always stretched thin. Many projects tend to fall through the cracks if the account team doesn't get a commitment and follow through from the creative on deliverables. Easy to miss deadlines when internal team isn't aligned or generally understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Hire a traffic coordinator and split the account and project management if possible so timelines are adhered to and everyone can be on the same page.

I have been working at Ferrara and Company full-time

    Pros

Ferrara has some amazing brands. They have strong and longstanding relationships with their clients. The group here is moving more towards new digital work for the clients, while still defining and shaping brands, and it creates an atmosphere of excitement. Particularly in the creative department there is some real interesting work coming to life.

    Cons

Change doesn't always come easy and can take some time.

    Advice to Management

Communicate clearly, and openly to the entire team. It's amazingly valuable to everyone. There is some great stuff happening here.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Great creative teams and a subculture of fun and encouragement - but not from management or leadership. Good accounts to work on.

    Cons

If the American female consumer and decision maker was aware that the products that are targeted to them via advertising were created by mostly men and clients who had no respect for women (only goal is to "penetrate the reptilian brain of the female consumer"...), they wouldn't purchase these CPG's. The owners do not understand the product they are in business to sell.

    Advice to Management

Take time to immerse yourself in every department to understand the process, especially the creative department. You will learn that most people in the Ad world, in the creative department do not work for the just a paycheck.
