I worked at Festiva full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay, Getting to travel, Great learning experience. Always changing witch was a good thing. Always well supplies from Gift to Copy Paper. Great different ways we had to communicate from our computers.

    Cons

Time expected to work long hours. Always be given last mintue changes leave short time for Marketing to get tours booked for Sales Team. Always being told 2 or 3 different ways to do things. So I had to figure doing it my best way an it worked so I done it my way. Nothing was never in stone never reliable an Very unorganized..

    Advice to Management

Upper management took their jobs very serious but not when it truly should be took seriously. They would lie an play blame game to cover theirselves then to take responsibility for what they had told us to do an when it got back to them by upper management. They would deni deni. Always continues tension. I was fired for reporting a bad an serious sexual harassment report. Nothing was done to him I was fired. Because he was number 1 Sales man on our site making the company good money. I was just a marketing person. Due to it all later down the road he was fired due to sexually harassing other women on other sites. I killed myself to do my job worked worked worked late nights. For a company I believed in an they didn't believe in me an keeping me safe. I was so hurt when this took place.

    Pros

The money. When the tours are qualified, the product sells itself.

    Cons

You do your job and sell the toughest, expensive and intangible product in the business to total strangers in the span of 90 minutes, and if the buyer is one day late on a payment , the company takes your entire commission back without even in forming you.

    Advice to Management

Put some money toward marketing. The product is legit, but its hard to build trust when it begins with shady opc tactics.

I worked at Festiva full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company tries to keep management involved in resort operations

    Cons

There are some product issues that need the bugs worked out which will make this product far superior to any other out there.

I worked at Festiva (Less than a year)

    Pros

The money was great, that's about it.

    Cons

The management was truly some of the worst individuals I have ever been forced to work with.

    Advice to Management

Fire all upper level management and hire some honest people that don't try to sleep with all their employees

I worked at Festiva full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only real perk I can think of was the fact that our resort partnered with a local pizza company to give employees free pizza cards every month.

    Cons

There are too many problems to describe. There is an excess amount of favoritism with employees. The employees lie to other employees and to guests to try and sell. It was by far one of the worst hostile environments I have ever worked at over the years in the industry.

    Advice to Management

You need to pay more attention to the details of what is actually happening at your resorts. You need to also remember that your employees should be your most valued asset and they should be treated that way. If employees are taken care of they will take care of our guests and make the company lots of money.

I have been working at Festiva full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work schedule, great coworkers, casual environment, decent pay

    Cons

If you are not a friend or "liked" by Supervisors and Managers you cannot get promoted or move into a different position based on skill set. Older people do not seem to have any opportunity in the call center and are constantly over looked for new positions.

    Advice to Management

Managers and Supervisors need to be more objective in hiring and give current employees a fair chance at open positions. It is more of a popularity contest, not based on qualifications.
