I have been working at Fiberlink full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Fun/Young culture with bottom tier employees
-Ability to say you work for IBM
    -Center city location

    Cons

-Salary is way low for how professional they pretend to be
-Almost no account assistance means you spend endless hours cold calling a saturated market
-If you are not a favorite, they make it widely known by verbal and email threats for everyone to see

    Advice to Management

    -Grow an ethical backbone.
-Pray that IBM will actually remove the bad seeds

I have been working at Fiberlink (More than 3 years)

    Pros

location, colleagues, free coffee, having IBM on your resume. Previously Friday lunch, but that has even been rationed out as of late.

    Cons

-They promise you the world before you walk in the door, yet very few actually reap the rewards. This is due to over saturation of the sales team and shrinking territories, but most importantly the favoritism that exists throughout the entire executive team.
    - Favoritism is based not on who has worked hard and closed business, yet whom they anoint as their 'Chosen Ones'.
-MDM is a luxury technology, and the sales cycles for even the smallest, most transactional deals, are drawn out sometimes 12+ months
    - Unless you are a very select, unjustly chosen few, you are responsible for self sourcing 100% of your opportunities and prospects. This is something they do not properly convey to potential candidates in the interview process, and thus most reps are bitter by their 3rd or 4th month at the company.
    - Ethics do not exist on the sales team.

    Advice to Management

    - I honestly don't know where to start.

I have been working at Fiberlink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They have a nice location.

    Cons

Management is LOST. Each team takes care of a chosen few and lets everyone else suffer. Goals are unattainable, 85% of the sales team misses quota month after month and management does nothing about it. No policy's to protect employees and deal get stolen regularly by senior reps.

    Advice to Management

You hire some good people you should take an interest in developing or you will continue to have a revolving door.

I worked at Fiberlink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers (that's what I will miss most) maas360 is great solution.

    Cons

Management changed and views sales reps cogs in a wheel and overall metrics are the only thing that matters.. Culture has gone from good to bad is a shockingly short period of time.

    Advice to Management

If you ask a rep to improve their performance, look at the big picture and not just #'s. Your going to lose good talent if you stay on the current path & company focus.
