I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

High quality people. and leadership. Great benefits. and pay. Industry leader. High ethical standards. Customer first focus.

    Cons

Almost impossible to get to VP level. Too many high quality people in high level roles who don't move on, making it difficult for talented directors or managers to get promoted. Company is very focused on targeting and accommodating millennials creating the impression that previous experience and approaches to getting work done are not valued in new operating models.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for advancement for folks in the middle levels who have hit a glass ceiling. Seems like the only good opportunities are for senior leaders rotating into different parts of the company or new lower paid associates.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company that is going through major transformation toward more progressive, agile processes.

    Cons

Definitely geared now toward "the millenials." If you're of that generation, life is very good indeed at Fidelity.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are great with a good work life balance. 7% 401k match, 10% profit share, student loan repayment, tuition assistance, paternity leave

    Cons

Management seems to breathe down your neck. The role I’m in is pretty full but there is room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Be a little more flexible

    Pros

Good place to start your career. Competitive pay & benefits. Bonuses are above average. Lots of opportunities to learn in technology.

    Cons

Management & politics can be horrible depending on your group. Of course, you see less of this at lower pay grades. Also, tons of layoffs happening over the last couple of years with the reorganization.

    Pros

Great benefits. Company really thinks of everything hong when it comes to taking care of their employees. Between the health benefits, all of the reimbursements, and the 401k match...it’s hard to beat.

    Cons

Some challenges mainly have to do with management. Some have the wrong focus on certain tasks and how thing should be handled.
