    Pros

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good 401K matching and profit sharing

    Cons

Terrible management, especially within Personal Investing Marketing division. Managers are highly biased. Tend to give bonuses and raises only those whom they like. Managers tend to focus more on looking good in front of their bosses and not necessarily worried too much about doing the right thing for the company or customers.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate SVP who are biased in performance reviews of their team members. Performance reviews should be based on performance and team work and not based on what an SVP thinks of a candidate.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, good work hours, paid lunches when asked to work through your lunch

    Cons

Management is not trained to identify and grow talent. Too many layers of management. Not enough intelligent people in higher positions. Very shovanistic and hostile environment. Too many managers bullying you.

    Advice to Management

Try thinning out management. Try fostering a positive environment. Invest in teaching the skills you're looking for. Do away with the remote HR department. Have onsite support for your employees. Disassemble the "Good Old Boys" Club

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Some great people
    Benefits
    Salary is ok
    Locations are great

If you drink the corporate juice and are talented you will succeed. Management prefers rising young talent for promotion paths..

    Cons

    Micro management
Will fully pitting employees against one another
Creating bad situations for employees who fall out of Management's favor. Rather than talk to you management wants you to fail/quit if they don't like something about your style even if you constantly produce.

I saw management force out three lower level employees after refusing my attempts to train them.

    Advice to Management

Teach the upper middle management some humility. Director level employees act like they are good gift to software engineering.
