      Great company to work for

      Pros

Fidelity has a good culture and great group of people to work with. Very supportive and many opportunities to move up within the company. There are opportunities every quarter and you can get promoted multiple times in a calendar year if you're performing. And if you're not performing, they're typically very supportive and try to find constructive ways to help you improve. Benefits are great. You start off with 18 days PTO and after 2 years you get 23 days PTO off per year. OT is frequently available if you want it.

      Cons

The calls can beat you up on some days. Majority of the managers I've had were good, but just like any job your experience will also partially depend on who you have as a boss. There are some that are not ideal; however, most managers are encouraging and helpful in your career path.

Great Training Great Benefits Relationship Building Career Advancement Amazing cafeteria with great food

      Cons

Its possible that you could go through a training program, and its not necessarily what you expect when you are done. Over time, I don't expect this to be much of an issue though.

      Little work/life balance

      Pros

      Great benefits (PTO, medical etc)

      Cons

Good luck using your PTO- they don't approve time off if they deem themselves too busy, mandatory overtime in "peak" seasons (but they will require you to do it throughout the year), unrealistic expectations of calls taken per hour while trying to talk clients "off the edge". Promotions are based on your surveys you receive from clients and if your manager likes you- and alot of surveys are bad scores due to long wait times so it's an unfair scaling system.

      Pros

Great benefits package, decent pay, great colleagues, various shift schedules to choose from, quarterly bonuses based on personal results. Great intro job to finance, and Fidelity will offer opportunities to move towards your finance-industry-related work, even if you have little to no experience. You MUST understand that this is a call center job, however. As such, your job is to take X number of phone calls each and every day, day in and day out.

      Cons

What used to be all about the customer experience has, over the past few years, heavily diverted into a metric-based environment. This leaves associates "kicking the can" down the road to the next associate who can help better, leading to a terrible customer experience, simply because associates are watching out for their KPIs. Poor KPI results will result in heavy-handed "coaching" sessions and absurd amounts of micromanagement.
