    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, happy people, good work life balance, great pay, fantastic job training,

    Cons

Lack of leadership in management, no career progression, very little training after you are “on the job” after finishing their training program. Not many internal job opportunities. Most managers are just reps with more experience so not a lot of true management experience.

    Advice to Management

Provide more career prospects, increase the amount of training available for employees, need stronger leadership.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits, people, company really cares, work environment, outings, breaks and lunches whenever, treat you like an adult. Sign on bonus if licensed and when you get licensed. Flextime during training.

    Cons

Getting licensed is brutal. It is like taking 10 college classes in 2 months. No work life balance. Schedules are mostly nights and weekends, but pay more for shifts sceduled in off hours. Pay should be higher for what we know and do. They demand licensing bonus back of $2500 if you leave or quit within a year. Some managers act like they care, but don't. Not much room to advance in call centers.

    Advice to Management

Make licensing training longer so it is not so mentally draining and stressful. Covering entire books in a couple of days and expecting us to master it then move on is not feasible for some who do not have finance degrees and who have families. Work and training schedule is too demanding at times.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Benefits and the gym onsite

    Cons

The company is only interested in you if you are YOUNG! There is no work-life balance, and after I left, I realized it was a good thing the company only hires recent college grads because it is only those with little to no experience that would put up with a job with Fidelity. They will get worked to death with little pay!

    Advice to Management

I won't waste the energy trying to give them advice.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits. Great work-life balance. Certain managers really care about your career path. Great place to grow. Friendly fun environment.

    Cons

Raises and pay are luck of the draw based on BU/manager personality. Promotions are near impossible to navigate.

    Advice to Management

Merit based promotions and clear objective goals.
