I have been working at Fifth Third full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits and the people are outstanding, the latter depending on where you work. The company seems to be embracing change, especially recently. The leadership has been churning in a net positive way.

    Cons

The pace of changing entrenched, maladaptive organizational habits is too slow. These habits often empower poor managers at the expense of talented employees. Those who prioritize sound bites over substance can thrive and advance, which is troubling.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to become more diverse, especially in the middle and upper job tiers. In addition, create better career paths for individual contributors who can bring much needed subject matter expertise closer to the problems that need to be addressed.

I have been working at Fifth Third full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of work with ample opportunity to take initiative and find projects that interest you. ITLP allows new graduates to complete four 6 month rotations in different areas before picking a permanent placement.

    Cons

This is a very political environment. Very slow project process. Women are still out numbered in IT, don't expect equality.

    Advice to Management

    Focus less on politics
