    Pros

The people are wonderful, MANY opportunities, get paid to "volunteer" at the river bank run, they work with your schedule, automatically approved for 5/3 Employee credit card

    Cons

Workload can be heavy at times, management expects alot from you (but the rewards outweigh this.), not alot of room for overtime if you are willing to work it.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I worked at Fifth Third full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits (4% matching 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, profit sharing, etc.) and Co-workers in my line of business. Integrity of caring for customers, providing a relationship base and trusted adviser.

    Cons

Constant restructuring at times feels no one is immune. Competitive nature in some lines of business. At times, resulted in others looking for you make a mistake. Feels like you have to watch your back and didn't know who could be trusted.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote the climbers who want to do it on other people's backs. Look to build and support employees and even those who do not report directly to you.

I worked at Fifth Third full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good job if only temporary. Good pay. Good vacation.Nice people.

    Cons

Run away. People dont stay longer than 3 or 4 months.Gender and age discrimination. How is it possible to have 20 managers in a department and 19 are women? Why is easily over 80% or more of their staff in a call center under the age of 40? Unfair management . practices. They told us we have a year of training and cut it 6 months short. They told a training class we had 7 weeks of training and cut it a week short.. Beware of a temp agency who works with 5/3 Bank saying in a public add that they want people with food service background (specifically) and they really want you to work for 5/3 Bank. If you work there as a temp, that is a good idea, btw, only apply if you have banking background, or you will have a hard time making it through training. There was very little training there. There were many times we were expected to do perfect work for, sometimes, your entire shift, with NO Managers there to help.. This is very unfair. Their health insurance was VERY expencive.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the phone numbers for HR headcorters in Cincinnati that come up on public websites are not diconnected. Make sure that at all call centers advisors stop doing completely unsupervised work. Stop having call centers try to intimidate new hires to open up new 5/3 accounts on the first day of training on paid time. Many people don't like this, including 5/3 HR Reps and the general public. Be more careful at 5/3 Branch banks around the USA that customers are properly advised by 5/3 Bank employees that they are applying for a new bank account when this occurs. One of the common comaints of account holders, nationwide, is that they never knew, something like a credit card account was open up in their name by a branch employee without their knowledge.

I worked at Fifth Third (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very flexible schedule.

    Cons

poor training. Out dated and old systems to approve loans. Slow process with to many hands in the pot to get things done efficiently

    Advice to Management

better training. put together an easier process from start to finish. Had multiple issues with closings because 5/3 uses an off shore closing team to generate documents. Which made finalizing the closing very difficult. Had to reschedule closings multiple times.
