I worked at Fifth Third part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent matching on the 401K, they give part time employees health benefits.

    Cons

DON"T take a part time job with them unless you want to be locked into 20 hours a week MAX and have to work every Saturday. Other banks pay more starting out, even with a degree. If you've got a degree and have been in customer service for a while, skip straight to applying for one of the manager roles (personal banker or lead customer service representative.)

    Advice to Management

Promote promote promote! Address grievances quickly, as not feeling heard leads to high turnover and short tenure.

I worked at Fifth Third full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay, Supervisor is knowledgeable and acts as liaison vs magnifying glass with sunshine beaming through. lenient poor sales policy execution. It's not a you're fired if you don't meet goal within 3 months. They attempt to coach you to the behaviors to get you to the numbers vs the numbers being gospel. Constantly trying to evolve...just at a snails pace

    Cons

Technology- stick in the DOS Era. Dartboard priority mentality. One day it's this the next day it's that. Processes and procedures aren't uniformed throughout footprint. Training is negligible for starting up.

    Advice to Management

Map out a plan: stick to it. Upgrade our technology. Make more training more inclusive and inviting to attract and retain top prospects. Realize the reality of the two different lives. Your world and your expectations or preconceived notions of ours are misguided
