What people are saying about Figma
Trying my best but it is super difficult to keep up with growing technology Figma lovers, how did you start your journey? What creators or courses did you follow and what made you learn new tech. Could use some motivation as I don’t want to be stuck with photoshop all my life.

-Why most in-house job posts requires Figma for graphic designers jobs? Hey fellow designers! Been working for a couple of years in graphic design but saw a big surge in putting "figma" on job posts. I never had the chance to use Figma when working as a graphic design in-house. In your opinion does it really matter? How much should someone know about Figma to apply? Happy to know your thoughts!
My boyfriend is a 2D illustrator, his work is unique and he even did product illustration/design for a physical card game for a startup game company. He wants to transition to white collar work (he’s only ever done blue collar work and is a military veteran - honorable discharge). We’ve been together for 6 years and he’s proud of my trajectory but isn’t keen on UX. What can he do that’s office-y, remote/hybrid, and needs no degree? He’s 33 and knows Procreate. I’m teaching him Figma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Doing some of the best work of my career here. The company has a conspicuous lack of ego and everyone is just really good at what they do and extremely kind. Lots of opportunity to build new things, be heavily involved in product decisions, and solve hard technical problems (all at once).
Company is growing really fast which comes with some tensions that any growing company has, but still coping with it some of the best I’ve seen

The only positive I can think of is that the product is very well loved by customers.
The company I signed up for is not the one that I joined and I don’t recommend sellers join at this time. Figma is struggling to shift from natural PLG to enterprise sales, and that struggle highlights the sales team leadership’s immaturity. Expectations are constantly changing, impossible PIPs have been issued, and a reorg has occurred - all issues making it challenging to succeed.20
