I worked at Findley Davies (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Career advancement went well. They definitely pave a great path if you are willing to earn it. Travel is minimum and usually just overnight

    Cons

Management keeps headcount down. And so it is all hands on deck when it comes to gettinghtings done. can make the days very stressful!

    Advice to Management

No advice to management. They do treat peole fairly. Maybe the only thing i would encourage them to do is hire more people.

    Cons

None, really. Our office clicked fairly well.

    Advice to Management

Develop a culture of inclusion throughout the firm

I worked at Findley Davies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Perfect entry-level internship, atmosphere was relaxed, work was relevant, management couldn't have been nicer. Lots of flexibility. Wasn't told to file papers or anything like that

    Cons

Nothing of note. Everyone was pretty cool, I guess the only thing that could have been improved was more opportunities for all the interns to get together.

  6. "Great place to work, management is friendly and very helpful!"

    Pros

Management is very friendly. They continue your learning about HR and the new HR practices that come into play as the years go by. Great office dynamic, co-workers are very friendly and everyone seems to love to be there.

    Cons

There is some down-time where not much is happening. Other than that, no cons.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Findley Davies full-time

    Pros

Every employee had a specific job to do and management didn't micro manage every task. Suggestions for improvement or more efficient processes were taken into consideration. The company offers a competitive wage and excellent benefit options.

    Cons

Original CEO's have retired and some of the 'partners' fail to remember who actually does the hard work behind the scenes. This company has not gotten as far as it has by playing favorites and this seems to be getting way out of hand.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach and regardless of what your title is, never forget the golden rule!

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Findley Davies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get involvement with top level management, coupled with exposure to all practices of business. Relatively flexible schedule. Extremely nice people at all locations. Senior consultants are very willing to spend time teaching you what you need to know and are open to questions. The company clearly puts effort into their intern program.

    Cons

The internship position is not an outward facing position. Projects depending on department can become monotonous, that being said it was an internship. Occasionally there is a lack of work. It is often difficult to finish projects because consultants are constantly traveling or are located in a different office.

    Advice to Management

The company needs a better process to convert interns into full-time employees.

    Pros

People are really great to work with and get to know on a personal basis. Would definitely recommend as an employer.

    Cons

Smaller offices allow for you to get to know less people, but you get to know them better. I personally would have preferred a larger office.

    Advice to Management

I really enjoyed my time there. Your super-relaxed company culture made me feel right at home within the office setting.
