    Advice to Management

Dont screw over people that sell over 300k in less than a year and can run a store and u havent promoted him..And dont let DMS play favorites. it will bite you in the butt in the future.

    Pros

    30% Discount
Jeans, T-Shirt and Athletic shoes dress code
Free shoes every so often from vendors
    Great vacation, and heatlh benefits

    Cons

    Conversion, Conversion, Conversion!
Too many expectations with customer service i.e. GO TEAM
Not able to properly discipline associates at store level (Terminating bad attitude employees)
Executive Management only criticizes, never rewards good performance

    Advice to Management

If Upper level management (DM's) actually took the time to coach and develop store and assistant management instead of always criticizing bad store sales metrics it would help encourage more pride and understanding in achieving these goals. The company changes directions too frequently in how to service the customer and store employees are expected to just do it at the snap of a finger. Corporate needs to wake up and learn that if you want tried and true emplyee performance you need to understand that the store staff are human beings and not machines. Praise and compliments go a LONG way...

I worked at Finish Line full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Discount was ok. New ties with Macy's.

    Cons

50-60+ work weeks on salary. "Added responsibilities" with no compensation. Upper management act like thy care about employees, but really don't.

I have been working at Finish Line part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    30% discount
Flexible hours with college schedule but mainly because there are no hours given

    Cons

Tons of favoritism. I am always at the top in store sales rankings yet I only get 4 hours a week. Dishonest and extremely unprofessional management. Sales associates are treated like dirt. Management will tell sales associates to do whatever the management doesn't want to do while the management sits there and texts or talks on the phone to friends. Terrible training. My first day I got brought in on a Saturday (busiest time) and was immediately out on the sales floor selling products that I hadn't been trained to sell.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell your sales associates that they will be getting more hours and then cut their hours in half. Communicate! Train your employees and be professional, this is like a company being ran by children it's a miracle that it hasn't gone out of business.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

People working the retail environment have lives...please give us the tools and help to become successful. One visit a year is not helpful.
