I have been working at Finish Line part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very easy job and pretty laid back environment. It can be very fun depending on the staff you work with. Awesome flexibility especially if you are in school.

    Cons

It's Retail, it can get to you sometimes. Customers are a pain during the holidays so watch out. Especially when holiday hours kick in if you apply at one in the mall

    Advice to Management

Noticed that district managers are very tough on store managers. They shouldn't put so much stress because store managers need to be in a good mood to motivate employees.

I have been working at Finish Line part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great discount.
Very comfortable in what to wear as the uniform.
Selling sport footware is very exciting.
    Good company culture.

    Cons

    Very low job hours.
If there is no team work or no team respect, you will have to defend yourself in the sales floor because others will try to take your customers for proving good productivity numbers.

    Pros

Your Customers Keep Coming Back And Purchasing It's Super Personal And Fun, Also Macys Finishline Gives So Great Incentives Like Cake And Ice Cream To Make The Employees Feel Good

    Cons

The Age Groups, We Service An Older Crowd Which Isn't Bad But We Do Get Younger Customers Looking For More Variety That Is Never Found And We Lose Sales

    Advice to Management

Provide All Sneakers Not Just Some

I worked at Finish Line part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you have a genuine love for sneakers then you'll always be excited when a new shipment comes in. Commission based pay but I think they have switched to minimum wage now.

    Cons

Depends on your managers. My first store manager was the worst and got fired for way below average performance but the manager who came after was on his P's and Q's. Also, it's retail. You'll always come across some weird or crazy customers.
