-Good work/life balance -Good benefits: Tuition Reimbursement, Paternity/Maternity leave, unlimited PTO, stocked fridges and snacks
Cons
-No 401K matching -Raises were not annually, and if they did happen most times it was just stock that you lose if you get laid off or quit, not an actual increase to your base pay
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Great people, great products. Great teamwork. Everyone is very supportive. The Executive team is superb. FireEye offers great benefits.
Cons
FIreEye does not 401K matching

Good benefits don't offset terrible trajectory and environment
Mar 4, 2020 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Competitive salaries, good health plans, unlimited PTO, cool products, good industry to be in, nice office perks, WFH options
Cons
Layoffs every 6-9 months that butcher morale and conveniently eliminate good employees, overlooking people who are terrible. Guess leadership expects the good ones left behind to pick up the slack for everyone. People leave left and right to escape the sinking ship. Leadership and organizational changes seemingly every quarter, combined with always-changing business strategies (attempts to remain relevant as FEYE falls behind competitors). If our leaders don't even want to stick around, why should average employees? R&D priorities are constantly being changed, months-long efforts and investments are killed at the drop of a hat. Revenue-generating products are gutted, hiring all goes to India. Lack of 401k matching is 'offset' by stock options... Go look up FEYE stock price. Lots of internal politics and all that comes with it.... Can't count how many times I've heard newer employees ask 'Is this normal here?'

Place Is a dump....

The only pros will be the feeling when you get another job and leave and the laughs you will have at Fireeye's expense.
Cons
Where to start? this is the worst place I have ever worked at ever including the jobs I had in high school. The place was built on greed,90% of the IT department where nothing but stock watchers that did as little as possible just to slither by while talking about what cars they where going to buy once they sold their stock. The ones that did work hard and tried to make change where never rewarded and where just ignored in their ideas. The execs pumped the stock up to $90 at the peak sold and they all all got rich and now the stock is now at the $15 (!) range leaving the employees with worthless RSUs along with low pay. Perks are garbage who cares about free lunch and free snacks when there is no 401k matching and RSUs that are worth squat? I heard they got a new 'gym' now and it's another joke.

Fun Place to Work - Positive Outlook With New Management
Jan 25, 2018 - Services in Reston, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Over the past 2 years, Mandiant/iSight leadership has almost completely taken over FireEye and the culture/morale has improved dramatically. - Fun culture and atmosphere, even for remote workers - Smart people who care about their mission - Ability to contribute and growing internal mobility - Good pay - Reasonable work/life balance in most functions - Solid and reasonably priced benefits
Cons
- Some (nice but non-essential) perks removed as they cost cut towards profitability - free lunch, some snacks, etc - No matching 401k
Continue readingThank you for your great ideas on how to improve life at FireEye! With our new go-to-market strategy, we are changing the way we market all of FireEye’s hard work and innovation. While we don’t currently offer a 401(k) match, we do provide our employees with very competitive benefits beyond the foundational rewards, such as Employee Stock Purchase Plan, generous PTO, paid parental leave, professional development opportunities and many other perks. We continuously review our benefits, and the more successful we are as a company, the more we can consider providing additional options such as 401(k) matching.
