    I worked at First American full-time

    Pros

    I believe CEO was trying to do his best by offering 401K matching, HSA and holiday lunches and dinners. The campus is a beautiful work place.

    Cons

    The bad management lays employees off and turns around post the job on the website in two weeks. The posting is just formality. Their H1B friends are on the way for the green card.

    I have been working at First American (More than a year)

    Pros

    This company cares about it's employees both at work and home. There is opportunity to move up an around within my field and throughout the company. This company is big on giving and charitable donations. Lots of great benefits and programs for employees.

    Cons

    Hard to say that this is a con but there is a lot of pressure to give and contribute.

    Learning environment is okay. HR who are Company may actually help in resolving issues.

    Cons

    Very poor hike... not as pet market standards

    Pros

    Great industry once you learn/get the hang of it. Always learning and people are like family. Great pay, benefits and work/life balance.

    Cons

    Fortune 100 only seems to care about bottom line. Not much opportunity to promote from within. Culture. It consistent throughout the country. Very disappointed in your trimming of good fat!

    Advice to Management

    Work to groom your employees. Listen to them and give them opportunities to grow and be challenged. Retaining good employees should be a top priority!

    Pros

    I have worked here for nearly 10 years and have really enjoyed it. The people that work here are amazing, hard working and kind. Management supports hard work. Lots of opportunities to learn, do good for the community, feel connected to co-workers.

    Cons

    Difficult to know everyone with being such a big company, lots of people and businesses to learn about.

    Pros

    Everything is well processed, HR are at their best everything is work friendly they take good care of employees, extra curricular activities are also very good.

    Cons

    More understanding is required on the employee profile than the team assigned. It doesn't work fine if a junior leads u cause they don't have the experience how to talk with team and can't maintain balance in teammates.

    Pros

    The company does a lot of community service. The benefits are OK. The campus in Santa Ana is a really nice complex.

    Cons

    The National Intake Center (NIC) is not a good environment. The boss is very rude and plays a lot of favoritism. The communication is terrible. You never know when she is going to be out of the office and she claims she is "working" from home but you can never reach her. Her best friend works in our department and it's a clear HR violation. They take long lunches and sit in her office and gossip. Very unprofessional. The morale is very low mainly due to the bosses negative attitude. She is the worst boss I've ever had. I would recommend working for a different department. But if your desperate and you need a job then go for it but make sure you weigh out all your options first.

    Advice to Management

    This department is not a good representation of the core values of First American. Love the company but this department is not good. The manager manages by intimidation so people are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. HR should investigate this department.
