    Positive Outlook

I have been working at First Baptist Church (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The teacher's at the Weekday Education Ministry are top notch! Hours are great and the families we come in contact with are gracious. It's a physically challenging job but so rewarding to be a part of this ministry.

    Cons

Though the hours are great, some workers are hourly and the pay stops when we get out of school for the summer.

    Advice to Management

    None. Well managed program.

I have been working at First Baptist Church full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I loved to work with people. I am always in constant contact with them, whether in person or via phone. I like to assist people with problems that may arise. I studied and received a Human Resources Degree.

    Cons

There are no downfalls. I know that there is a change that I could make to work from home.
My family life has changed. My mother is on dialysis and I need to be more at home with her.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing the work of the Lord!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at First Baptist Church full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved the kids, loved the environment, loved most of my co-workers, learned how to work as a team to get things done the way it needed to be, learned how to be patients with children and the co-workers, and stayed busy and active.

    Cons

The management could use a lot of work, favoritism showed up every now and then, the older kids had little respect for some counselors (especially the guy counselors), sometimes the activities can get a little repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Stop showing favoritism most of the time, actually consider using some of the ideas of counselors when you ask for them, don't be rude because you're in your feelings on that particular day

I worked at First Baptist Church full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Establishing a relationship with the kids and families. I also have developed many networking relations shops amongst many of the parents who were in my classroom!:) They were so very helpful with making sure that I had everything that I needed in my room to ensure that their child had to tools in order for them to learn.

    Cons

The pay was underachieving! I have asked for a pay raise & did not receive it, even when I exclaimed to them how underachieving it was to be paid under $8.20!

    Advice to Management

Be more generous with your wages.
