I have been working at First Cash Financial Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None. Zero. None. The business itself is pretty interesting and is never dull.

    Cons

    Constant turnover
Managment WILL NOT spend a dollar on ANYTHING
They bought out my company and slashed benefits
I have never never been with a company that loves paper work like this one. Useless reports everywhere.

They will make you work all major holidays. When they tell you as managment you will work about 45 hours that is a LIE. Expect to work 70 plus with no overtime as you are salary.

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourself

    Pros

Nice place to work if you are related to anyone in the front office

    Cons

Payday loans are a scourge on society. Great place to invest, because they only care about the stock price.

    Pros

    Casual dress code. Descent restroom

    Cons

Manager has her click and if you're not in it you won't survive. Does not show appreciation for going beyond and doing your job well. No sick days. You have to use vacation days if you're sick. Managers and supervisors are bullies if you don't agree with their politics.

    Advice to Management

You should ask employees what is going on in their department instead of taking supervisor word as gospel. When you have employees coming and going constantly that should have been Red Flag.

I worked at First Cash Financial Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co workers and very helpful store managers.

    Cons

The supervisors are horrible and only care about their check and don't take care of their employees.

    Advice to Management

My advice to supervisors to take care of your good employees and not only about us making the money for you. There was a lot of occasions that I had trouble with the alarm system at one of the stores I was covering. The alarm system needed a supervisor's approval to set the alarm. So I called my supervisor and she sent me straight to voice mail, so I called her again and she sent me to voice mail again. I called her a third time and she turned off her phone. So I called her multiple times and she never turned on her phone. I called the other supervisor, her boss, and she had her phone turned off. So after staying almost 2 hoursat the store after the time I was suppose to leave, I left the store without setting the alarm. From what I know of, the supervisors have a company phone for situations like that NO MATTER WHAT TIME IT IS. Anytime after 5pm it was impossible to get a hold of a supervisor for any kind of help because they were already at home. My supervisor was disrespectful, lazy and dramatic. She would only talk about her baby daddy and talked down to her employees. When I would call her in the morning if I had an issue, she would answer the phone rude, I guess it's because I would wake her up at 11am. I then decided to call the store managers for help since they were always willing to help. The supervisors would say to never call other employees or store managers for help and to only call a supervisor, but how can you call a supervisor if they never answered their company phone. They would always be at home when they would answer. Also I would not recommend this job to people who have kids because if your kid gets ill, it's impossible to call in to take them to the hospital because they will threat you by saying they will fire you. So don't believe when they tell you they are understanding when you have a emergency. They motto is "we make your schedules according to the company needs, not to your personal needs." Also they don't reward employees on holidays. About two years ago they wanted to have a company dinner for Christmas, but we would have to pay for our food. Why even bother to have a company dinner if we're still going to pay. I would rather go pay my dinner with my family. Before I left, a lot of good employees started leaving and the supervisor were in desperate need of employees that they started hiring immature and back talking people. I would only recommend this job to people that don't have children and that don't have families, because a lot of family time will be taken away from you.

    Advice to Management

Employee training is needed to transition company take overs. Communication to foster growth is much needed.

    Pros

Great friendships with the co workers I started out with.

    Cons

Pay sucks, they don't care enough to give holiday pay and dont care about employees.

    Advice to Management

They dont have to work on holidays, they are in the comfort of their homes while we bust our butts to make them look good. They keep criminals and fire the good employees. This company will go down because of greed.

    Pros

The atmosphere is very relaxed. Sometimes too relaxed.

    Cons

Company benefits are the worst I have ever seen. Hourly employees only get 2 weeks of vacation regardless of their tenure with the company.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to wake up & realize what is going on. This company looses a lot of good employees due to the lack of competetive salaries; way below scale.. Employees quickly see they're in a dead end job & leave the company for better opportunities.

Upper management also practacies a form of nepotism which involves not the hiring of family members, but the hiring of friends or their friend's children. A lot of good people are passed up for promotions because of it. Bottom line upper management doesn't care about thier employees. Their bottom line is how much profit can be made at the end of the month so they can get their bonuses.

    Pros

Sundays off in some locations. On slow days you have time to catch up on school work even though its frowned upon. A uniform to take the guess work out of picking an outfit.

    Cons

The pay really sucks even if you have expierience in that field. Customers can be beyond rude to the point of abuse. Store managers are often children. Area supervisors play mind games and often hold your job above your head to control you. The list can go on forever..

    Advice to Management

None I wish the company would go bankrupt and dissolve. At one point I bet there were quality people working for the company but times have definitely changed.
