Pull your head out of your rump

    Pros

I don't think there is any,

    Cons

Ever since the merger with Cash America, it has gone downhill. They don't care about the employees and just want everything done as cheap as possible. Cheap systems and laying off people that know what they are doing.

I have been working at First Cash Financial Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Anymore the only pros are the discounts you can get and the regular customers that you can feel good about helping.

    Cons

This company is doing everything it can to rip off its employees and customers. They eliminated half of the paid holidays and have even failed to pay their employees hours worked on time. They nickel and find every customer and then blame the shops for having a negative customer experience even though we are only following corporate policy.

    Advice to Management

Seriously I'm not sure how high up it's coming from, but STOP THE FREAKING MICROMANAGEMENT! It is not helping anything and in fact makes your stores perform worse. Also let's try and stick with something for awhile instead of continuing to throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Lastly, great your employees with respect, ruling by fear and intimidation only works for so long...

    Pros

Commission but that only makes up for there low pay

    Cons

They dont care about you unless you benefitted them in special ways

    Advice to Management

You will get more out of people if you treated them as people not as a pawned item. Pay low and try to get the most out of them just as their way of anything they do. Buy cheapest possible and sell high. We are people not a tv

    Pros

None. They killed CashAmerica. One of the best companies ever.

    Cons

FirstCash employs modern day slave labor. They do the least amount required by law just to cut costs, then pile everything on the district manager and below.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees how you would like to be treated.

    Pros

    None at all. Nothing. Nada

    Cons

They slashed benefits. They reduced 401k contributions. They increased working hours. The downgraded the software we used at work. The changed their vacation policy. They changed their policies regarding returns and layaway and made it harder for use to help the customers.

There is NO such thing as work life balance. I was a store manager for 3 years.

    Advice to Management

    Retire.

    Pros

Good opportunity to meet and serve members of your community. Stimulates critical thinking in ever changing environment of people and what they bring. Sharpens skills of observation, negotiation, and emotional intelligence. A proficiency in other languages will help your experience.

    Cons

Changeover from Cash America to First Cash has hit current and long term employees and management hard. Loss of benefits, and being saddled with an old and tediously slow operating system, V2, is a game changer. Most of all, the loss of relevant data on long term customers, has put us in the dark, can no longer make informed decisions on loan amounts, which will hurt the company long term, and is an affront to solid customers who expect more cash and have received it in the past. Worse, we can no longer negotiate fair prices on things customers need like tools. Sales and foot traffic drops as a result. It is time to look for a new job.

    Advice to Management

Your corrupt overseers want to make the world cash free. Where will your company go as the dollar drops in value or disappears? How about you actually work in a pawnshop for a while so that you can see how it is not a retail operation, but a way to help people and put cash on the street. Your current business model is failing as a result.

    Pros

Nice place to work if you are related to anyone in the front office

    Cons

Payday loans are a scourge on society. Great place to invest, because they only care about the stock price.

    Pros

    Casual dress code. Descent restroom

    Cons

Manager has her click and if you're not in it you won't survive. Does not show appreciation for going beyond and doing your job well. No sick days. You have to use vacation days if you're sick. Managers and supervisors are bullies if you don't agree with their politics.

    Advice to Management

You should ask employees what is going on in their department instead of taking supervisor word as gospel. When you have employees coming and going constantly that should have been Red Flag.
