Pros

Absolutely none; the organization is a shell of an FQHC principally due to gross mis- management and failed leadership ability of the CEO. Condescending, controlling and manipulative behavior of CEO has resulted in massive turnover and year over year decline in patients and revenue.

Cons

Systematic and gross mis-management under CEO Sheila Simmons. Needs to be immediately audited by NC DOL, HRSA , Harnett County Board of Commissioners, City of Lillington, North Carolina Community Health Center Association, National Association of Community Health Centers and most importantly the FCCHC Board of Directors. Positive comments about FCCHC over last 12 - 24 months on this website clearly written by CEO Simmons and reflect her self serving attempt to cast blame on employees rather than her own gross mis-management. Non competitive pay except for CEO, limited restricted access to routine office supplies, closed door environment with CEO in locked office with no free access to staff, unfair employee / management disciplinary and employment actions and numerous clinical violations / non compliance with State / Federal health standards and related regulations.

Pros

Being that It’s a non profit is the best reason to work here. Harnett County really needs this medical facility. It’s was a great way to give back to the community.

Cons

Blatant shameful GROSS mismanagement, I’ve never seen anything like this before! I can’t believe how such a good needed facility was being run into the ground by Sheila Simmons & how the employees don’t ban together to get rid of her. The board is non existent & completely turns a blind eye to her practices and employees complaints!. They’re in on it as well FAT CATS lining there pockets with millions it was down right scary. I’ve been in healthcare for over 20 years as a CCMA, Im good at what I do, this place mentally physically and emotionally ran me into the found. Paycheck was always wrong once I didn’t even get a paycheck I had to wait until the next pay period it’s was Sheila Simmons way of hiding her thievery. traveling to other clinics was horrible & dangerous driving back country roads at night. I HAD ENOUGH I WENT TO the labor board and filed a complaint! Only then did I get what was owed to me!! Never enough supplies! They’ll take supplies from one center to put in another center instead of doing inventory. I disagree with the reviews that say take it if you need a job, trust me it’s not worth it.

Pros

- The community served is a pleasure to be around. Very rewarding. - Staff (NOT management) was also generally very good (even though turnover is so high).

Cons

- CEO Sheila Simmons is satan’s spawn. True narcissist. Lies, cheats, manipulates. Can be very charismatic but more so deceptive. Power trips, has no issue with falsifying documentation such as timesheets in order to avoid paying overtime, withholding benefits like the nonexistent 403B and PTO, and lashing out at individuals. - Board of Directors absolutely turns a blind eye to everything. - CMO Dr. Marvin Lewis has been disciplined by the NC Medical board on numerous occasions. Also narcissistic. Treats not only staff horribly but patients too. They are constantly complaining about his care, mentioning the most ridiculous things such as him taking personal calls during their appointments. It is hard to work under someone who is so negligent and unprofessional. - Extremely high turnover. Can’t blame people for leaving, but 25+ people leaving a year results in extreme instability. This results in often having to play numerous roles as an employee, without any additional compensation in pay. - Lack of communication in operations. You might randomly get called in the middle of the day to drive (in your own vehicle with your own gas) to a different location to cover. You may also put in PTO request 3-4 months in advance and only have it responded to 24-48 hours before scheduled time off. - No raises, no performance evaluations. You could do everything right, but breath the wrong way one day and you will get punished. - No administrative time.
