    I have been working at First Data full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    * Friendly and helpful staff
    * Competitive salary package
    * Nice offices and close to local restaurant and the cinema
    * Responsibility from the start
    * You are allowed to develop your ideas and projects within the department and your views and ideas are heard. Lots of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills as part of ‘First Data University’
    * A company that supports charitable events such as cake sales and an annual Family Christmas event to raise money for charity. This has allowed me to continue my interest in CSR and supporting local communities.
    * Fantastic benefits such as the ‘Own it Honours' scheme where you can give and receive points for various things such as good performance, meeting targets and referring candidates via the referral scheme. These points can then be exchanged for items in high street shops, holiday vouchers, theatre breaks etc. Great way to reward staff and really improves staff morale.

    Cons

    • It can be difficult to navigate the organisational structure of the company at first especially having previously worked in smaller teams. However I think that this is to be expected of a large global organisation such as First Data as it takes a while to get an understanding of the different areas and departments.

    I worked at First Data full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The only real nice thing is that the building is a nice design

    Cons

    Poor parking is the least of your worries.

    They refuse to fix problems and never really train their staff. I got a real sense of chinese whispers. Seems you only get staff there for less then a year or longer then 10.

    Advice to Management

    Work proactively not reactively. I spent every day picking holes in their system and no one wanted to do anything about it. Just terrible
