    Pros

    The people at First Data are great! That's it, nothing else. Don't come to FD. Everyone is trying to get out.

    Cons

    Everything. Stay far away. They bring you here and then do everything to screw their employees. Cut all benefits, misrepresented stock opportunity to new hires - blatantly lied. No 401k match. No regard for employees - viewed as easily replaceable. Wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face - and don't know how to develop and engage their talent. Lie to employees about everything and put a 'spin' on everything. No integrity, 0 ethics. The worst company I have ever worked for. Would never refer an enemy here. CEO is constantly devising new ways to take money from employees. What company pays more stock than cash to the majority of employees? First Data. CEO may have been good at Chase but why wasn't he next in line for CEO? He has no people skills and just doesn't give a hoot about employees. Too much more to list. Stay away.

    Advice to Management

    Your 'owner-associates' are not stupid - they see right through you. Do some research - if you want to increase the stock price, focus on your employees - there is a direct linkage there. Stop thinking you know everything and listen to the ideas of others. This isn't the 1980s... Your management skills need to progress and change with the times. FD is a good company, but you are bringing it down.

    Pros

    Coworkers. Some amazing people I had the chance to work with while there.

    Cons

    Horrible Benefits, no 401k matching, CEO was the absolute worst, Senior Management was horrible.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of Frank.

    Pros

    Opportunity to learn and meet some good people.

    Cons

    Long hours, great lack of caring from management, FREQUENT layoffs that make no sense. Company is behind the time w technology. Top managment obvioulsy completely disconnected and doesnt care about employees. No 401k match.

    Advice to Management

    If you are trying to pull out of Omaha, be honest about it. Stop slowly bleeding it to death.

    Pros

    Great people who've been with the company a very long time.

    Cons

    All new upper management in the past 5 years are from the good ole boys club. Terrible promotion opportunities, Stock that takes 3 years before you get 60% off the full value. No 401K matching. You are self insured with regards to Health Insurance, in my 20 years of working here I witnessed several people let go who had medical conditions.

    Advice to Management

    Why do all the good reviews come from either NY or NJ? Seems fishy to not just me, but everyone else who knows what's really up!

    You will get an opportunity to work with all levels of the Company Fast paced and results driven You will be provided many job opportunities You are always on the move - never a day when you're not doing something meaningful for the Company

    Limited work life balance (but you get that with all in the FS sector) WFH is limited No 401K match All HDHP with HSA and FSA

    A cube, a paycheck, middle management that sincerely want to do better

    Cons

    fragmented business, culture of silos and power struggles, meager increases, really old systems that don't work, no clear stated vision, no clear stated strategy, poor employee benefits, no 401k match, old people with old ideas and old methods working competing against small companies that are agile, security has a card blanche and the business gets the scraps

    Sunset FDC, move your merchants over to new affiliates with better systems, platforms and culture

    Pros

    You work with some good people. Immediate management tries to look out for staff. Not much else good to say.

    Cons

    Too many to list but here’s a few: Resources cut and existing staff expected to work a lot of “over time”. Explanation- you’re salaried & are expected to work whatever it takes to get the job done. Then they preach that you need to practice work/life balance. Senior leadership doesn’t seem to have a clue the damage they have done by cutting resources to the bone but blame everyone else for all the mistakes. Instead they continue to over promise to clients & tell staff just get it done. Instead of rewarding those that stick around they pay new hires more than existing employees. Not to mention no 401k match, bonuses in worthless stock, and limited vacation time that you can’t use because you’re too busy to take time off.
