    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at First Financial Bankshares full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Strong financial performance
    Profit sharing and ESOP
    Some really good people/coworkers

    Cons

Pay is below market if you have been a long-term employee
Top executives believe they are the only reason the company performs so well
Top executives will hire from outside before promoting from within

    Advice to Management

Check your egos and trust your people
You are losing the loyalty once enjoyed because your people don't trust you anymore

  2. "Great co-workers, but low pay, not enough people, and too many managers"

I worked at First Financial Bankshares full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Other employees that are not management are great to work with. Great benefits and retirement. State of the art technology.

    Cons

Budget cuts, Buying a bank they cut employee retirement and pay raises to afford it (unfair bad practice). Management cuts the departments down to small size and expects tons of work to be done with understaffed areas. Management will not listen to staff with recommendations and will do what they think is right with no experience in the field. When something needs to be replaced, or upgraded, they refuse to use the budget we requested to get it and will utilize it on something else. Poor Pay. Poor raises 1-2% increases or less if buying a bank.
Bad decisions on management. Bringing in FIS company to assist Desktop and it was one of the worse decisions the bank has done. Terrible support from that group.

    Advice to Management

Hire more workers and less management.
They hire these managers they supposedly have experience, but you can tell they don't.

I have been working at First Financial Bankshares full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    People generally nice
    Good insurance
For the most part people are kind-hearted and helpful

    Cons

    Incredibly low salaries
    Little room for advancement
    Antiquated technology
    Very cliquey

    Advice to Management

    Be open to new ideas
Do a salary survey & pay all people what they are worth - not just a select few at the top
    Lighten up

    Pros

    Decent salary and great coworkers
