I have been working at First Midwest Bank full-time

    Pros

Great bank to work for! Offers great training, benefit package, etc.

    Cons

Achieving quarterly referrals, especially if that isn't your strongest suit but yet you perform your job efficiently, you can be easily terminated.

    Advice to Management

Need to spend more time helping employees when they are busy instead of sitting in the office and chatting on the phone.

    Pros

    Benefits - I guess!

    Cons

It was fun in the beginning but then middle and senior management became paranoid - no leadership qualities! What a shame! Lost too many good people due to poor leadership! Never appreciated performance on M&As - what a shame again!

    Advice to Management

Please purge the old "regime" - they are very behind in management skills and trust no one!

I worked at First Midwest Bank part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a teller, initially this was not a bad place to work. Hours were ok, not much weekend work, and most holidays off.

    Cons

As I was leaving the company, they started heavily pushing referral goals, increasing the amount of products we needed to sell in order to keep making our bonuses, and shifted that bonus from monthly to quarterly.
