I worked at First Tennessee Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I would say that it's a good work environment, everyone usually works together as a team. The health/vision/dental and life insurance plans are always good as well.

    Cons

Pay is low compared to other local banks

    Advice to Management

I would advise management to consider increasing the base pay. There are several opportunities to get bonus pay, but it still doesn't make up the difference of other banks' base pay.

I have been working at First Tennessee Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for. They care about their employees. Great benefits. The longer you work there, the more advantages.

    Cons

They make it seem like commission is going to be easily attainable, but unless you are in a great market, you have to create your own business or sell, sell, sell to make your goals.

    Advice to Management

Be up front on the amount of selling that is involved with this job. I was told there would be some selling, but I didn't realize it would be something I had to relay and explain if I didn't make daily goals.

    Cons

Can't think of many cons, systems we use are a little dated. Many upgrades in process currently. Lending keeps changing do to Frank Dodd act making it hard to be in lending these days.

    Advice to Management

Great leaders in general. New leadership in our market, time will tell on what direction company goes from here.
