    Pros

clients are easy to deal with and overall not a lot of micromanaging

I worked at First Transit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pros are great co-workers, great scenery, different walks of life, learn to drive a 40 ft. bus.

    Cons

Cons are management sucks, morale is dropping, buses are always breaking down, attendance policy is unbelievable, constant workers coming and going.

    Advice to Management

Need to treat employees a lot better and the attendance policy needs to be revised, also pay a little more.

I worked at First Transit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I liked my most of my passengers

    Cons

The pay rate is VERY low. The company shows very little loyalty at the location level. Communication is unilateral - the company tells the drivers what to do, but doesn't care about input from the drivers.

    Advice to Management

The drivers are responsible for the company's revenue. Pay the drivers what they're worth, and back them up when needed.

I have been working at First Transit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, benefits are ok. No travel. Clean work environment. Secure facility to keep tools in. Corporate management is far better than local.

    Cons

Management has no reality of how to care for a fleet. The manner in which repairs are authorized can be extremely frustrating as a tech. No manufacture training at all.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your mechanics advise. It’s not always about making a dollar when your cargo is people. It’s about safety.
