      Pros

      Culture, Passionate energetic atmosphere. You use to be able to talk to all levels of people through out the organization.

      Cons

      Micromanaged now, must meet daily/hour quotas, if not your scorecards isn't good. Owned by a larger company now and its all about bottom dollar and how much revenue is brought in. No more energy in the culture, and a lot of two faced people in management now.

      Pros

      Never bored, nice coworkers, Starbucks in the building, decent benefits and 401k. Nothing else - this was seriously the worst place I have ever worked.

      Cons

      Underpaid, zero work-life balance, unwritten rules, pay for your own parking, even the most tenured underwriters are completely overwhelmed, no formal training, feel like you're walking on glass.

      Pros

      Friendly and caring employees. Competitive by nature. Young management

      Cons

      Rigid in their underwriting. Develops underwriters from within organization. Not very interested in employees with outside insurance experience. Since most employees in every department were trained without any insurance experience they do not relate to the problems and concerns that the independent agents bring to their attention. FirstComp's way or the highway.
