I worked at Fiserv (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and job security because people who use bill pay will always have issues. Cafeteria is good although a little pricey.

    Cons

Upper management that does not care about employees or quality of work. They only care about how quickly you can get people off the phone.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Some very good people in the lower levels of leadership

    Cons

    - Executive leaders don't care about the people, a culture that comes from the EVP of the site.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the talk

I have been working at Fiserv full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My immediate team and manager are wonderful. Everyone is positive and we have lots of camaraderie. Paid time off is very nice.

    Cons

Fiserv is fragmented. Upper management is clueless as they chant One Fiserv meanwhile they spam employees with emails to push the “most Admired Company” propaganda. Employees in the mean time know that the stock price is more important than the work force , product functionality and even our clients. Clients stay frustrated as they watch Fiserv employees, under staffed and overworked argue amongst themselves to figure out how to resolve an issue. Clients constantly question how Fiserv, as a technology company is not current with today’s technology.

In the spirit of increasing our stock price, Fiserv has turned our health insurance into a joke. Our deductibles are unreachable unless you have a major health event or a nervous break down. A nervous break down is very possible as employees quit and the company drags their feet to find a replacement. This hunt can take months.

    Advice to Management

    Look within.

    Pros

Vacation days are good. The people are friendly. Benefits aren't the best but aren't the worst either. Good locations to work at.

    Cons

Hard to get promoted. They hire from outside for more intermediate & senior levels.

I've heard from friends they were low balled job offer salaries.

    Advice to Management

    Promote from within

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Lots of PTO time
    Benefits are decent

    Cons

Upper management changes as often and frequently as entry level employees
    Rules and bonus frequently change
    Unprofessional across the board
There are no promotions... just lateral moves

    Advice to Management

Stop firing all your employees... both the call center reps and upper management. Get it together with the bonus and critical errors system, and reward people based on merit instead of the good ol' boy system. Keep your promises.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    A few good caring employees

    Cons

Beware of this company. Management is horrible. They suck the information out of tenured employees that know the business and then try to make them miserable until they leave. Environment is very "clicky" putting most of the workload on those who are out of the "in group" while others get paid to play. Continually restructuring and lay offs.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and run this company like check free use too. Care about the people that got you where you are today.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you don't care about a career or the outdated technologies they use, and if you are lucky enough not to get purged with their annual purge, you can retire here.

    Cons

It's a low growth company which uses outdated technologies and is extremely risk averse. They like it that way so they can replace workers with cheaper ones every year.

    Advice to Management

Take some risks and hire and retain A level players to start with.

    Pros

Great people, Fun-Motivating work environment, Excellent benefits by far of any company I have worked for.

    Cons

ALOT of favoritism, leadership/management being overly friendly with some employees, definitely a job where you need to become friends with leadership to move up and advance

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees the same when it comes to clothing, beliefs(not just religious), attendance, performance and trainings for employees to advance their skills and have a chance for advancement within the company.

    Pros

Health Insurance - really great choices even for entry level call center
Rewards System - points get your prizes
    Lunch Program

    Cons

Felt like an outsider, never comfortable with management, felt like you had to be in the "in crowd" to get recognized and opportunities

    Advice to Management

With a company so big, allow the management team to really speak with the employees before concerns become problems.
