I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a job. Learned nothing there that was useful.

    Cons

Poor raises, poor management. Outdated technology. Too many managers. Always looking to get rid of people.

    Advice to Management

Make yourself useful instead of just collecting a big paycheck. Only a few exceptions to this.

    Pros

Got promoted fairly quickly. Learned a lot of industry knowledge on card servicing.

    Cons

1 employee doing the work of 5 people. Little to no back office automation, very manual. Men get paid as high as 10k more than women doing the same job. No job security. No formalized training, must be a self starter.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Pay them what they are worth.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Their work/life balance was good. Never had any issues taking time off (as long as I used PTO). It was a steady pay check. Casual work environment. People were generally nice who worked there. That is about it.

    Cons

Small or no raises (1%-2% a year during good times - layoffs during bad), Management eliminated profit sharing during a year when their stock split and they had record profits, Dysfunctional management (My manger actually forgot my EOY review - Yes, FORGOT! - Worst manager I ever had.), Disorganized and unprofessional work environment in general, No real opportunities for career advancement, Antiquated/bad software, Company culture is horrible, No training, Diminishing benefits year-by-year, Stagnant management, Rewarded with more work for competence and less work for idiocy, Little to no recognition for hard work, All communication and the little provided training was completed via email - one-on-ones were non-existent, A good job for someone with no ambition.

Note: To be fair, these "Cons" are for the DataSafe division and may not reflect on the whole company.
Note to Note: People in other divisions that I spoke to and dealt with mentioned the same issues.

    Advice to Management

    Start existing.
