I have been working at Fiserv full-time

    Pros

Some very smart people scattered throughout the company
A few small groups are doing very interesting for forward-looking work
    Work-life balance

    Cons

Yearly raises (even for high performers) are paltry (2% or under)
Yearly unannounced layoffs sap morale and kill productivity
Enterprise "Technology" Group takes months to perform a 30 minute task
    Lots of dead weight
Health benefits now require a scavenger-hunt to get reasonable rates
Yearly nicotine tests - management thinks their employees are liars
New Alpharetta campus comes with 600% increase in meal costs (NO THANKS !)

    Advice to Management

Change the makeup of the executives to include fewer bean-counters
Trust in your employees that they have vision and can execute on it
Empower (and unshackle) employees to work in a more agile way (less bureaucracy)
Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) needs to get with the times or dev-ops will put them all out of a job
Quit counting the beans and INVEST in your company and employees

    Pros

the onsite restaurant is good , people you work with because in same boat as you

    Cons

I have never worked for a place like Fiserv, voted number 9 in worst places to work 2013. Raises are pitiful, you are graded by goals and metrics which are out of touch. Overall dont dome to work at Fiserv in Atlanta unless you are desperate, don't leave a job to come here. Fiserv always has a minimum of 100 jobs open what does that tell you big turnover , bad management

    Advice to Management

I dont know , I really dont know what to tell them, listen to your employees, moral is bad !!

    Pros

The technology at Fiserv is cutting edge and the pay is good if you're part of the click or the good ole boys club.

    Cons

The leaders are bullies. They will fire anyone without cause because managers fear the BU President and CIO. The leaders hire their friends from other companies and pay them high salaries even if they don't know the business or the job that they are going.

    Advice to Management

There is no advice to managment. They are all very smart individuals, just greedy, self-centered and unjust.

I have been working at Fiserv full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Stability, strong values and ethics around doing the right thing. Ability to advance if you're willing to commit and they'll invest in your development.

    Cons

Company is making progress towards establishing a singular culture but there are still pockets of resistance. Health benefits are not bad, but not really good either.

    Advice to Management

There is an entirely new millennial workforce joining our ranks and we'll struggle to keep the best unless there are some major investments in technology that makes their jobs easier.
