I have been working at Fisher Investments full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Fisher Investments is about the only company I know of that believes in paying it's employees what they are worth even if it is more than the industry average.

    Cons

There are very few negatives to working at Fisher Investments.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Fisher Investments full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Benefits. Only 40 hours a week for the account executive role. Tons of paid time off that adds up to about 28 days/year. Meritocracy - they reward high performance and success.

    Cons

Really can't think of any. There are some growing pains because we are growing pretty quickly, but management is very thoughtful about our growth.

I have been working at Fisher Investments for more than 2 years

    Pros

Upward and lateral opportunity like I've never seen in a company of this size. Culture is based around bettering the investment universe and everything is centered around this core value.

    Cons

Business formal attire even for non-client facing employees.

I worked at Fisher Investments full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Excellent training and support in a fast paced environment. - Positive camaraderie among senior management. - Good environment for people who are critical thinkers and believe in improving the process. - Better than average compensation (prob 90% percentile) and excellent benefits.

    Cons

    - Limited work hours, sometimes it could be good to work longer hours to stay ahead. - Corporate offices are located 25 miles south of San Francisco, would be nice if they opened one in San Francisco.

I worked at Fisher Investments full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

You cannot take your work home, and no weekends.

    Cons

Hostile work environment. A culture of fear and inadequacy. Douchy managers (I am pretty sure that is the most valued quality for promotion). Career sabotage. Below average compensation. FI has a way of making you believe that something really good for you is 3 - 6 months away . . . the problem is, it is ALWAYS 3 - 6 months away. I have met some very high quality people at FI, but most of them have gone off to much better...

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves and bring in a new team of people who are from this century. You treat people like farm animals.
