I worked at Fisher Investments full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1. If you have no experience straight out of college, this position requires no special skills. 2. If you are ultra-competitive you might like the environment. 3. Good benefits.

    Cons

Summary: FI is aggressively hiring because of the high turnover. During my short tenure with the company at least one or two people that I knew or started with left each month. Reasons for leaving were: extreme pressure to increase your metrics and produce more (it's all about the quantity), toxic work environment, poor work/life balance. The CSA role is mostly a call center role. 1. Workload- crushing workload in ALL departments across the company. You need to come in on weekends just to keep up. There is an unnecessary sense of urgency to everything. 2. Training- non-existant. They say the training is 6 months, but basically that is only on paper, those 6 months you are just given the actual work and have to ask the people sitting next to you how to do it. You are basically trained by your teammates who themselves don't have time and are stressed. 3. Work/life balance- also non-existant. Most people on my team were too miserable/exhausted to do anything after work or on the weekends. Everyone I knew there started taking or doubled their dosage of anti-depressants or started going to a therapist. I am not exaggerating. 4. Work environment- crammed open-space office with phones constantly rinning. The CSA role is basically a call center role, you are either calling clients or answering internal phone calls. The work environment is extremely competitive, metrics are everything. When my manager overheard a teammate offering help to another member, the teammate just got slammed with more work. Helping others is discouraged. It was also very dirty and dusty in the office, a layer of dust on desks. 6. Dress code- business formal, to the point that you will get in trouble for wearing the wrong colored socks.

I have been working at Fisher Investments full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are great benefits, and it opens the industry up to those from nonfinance backgrounds

    Cons

The hours are very long, and it is difficult to maintain a work-life balance. The culture is very accusative, always a hunt for someone to blame.

I have been working at Fisher Investments full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fisher genuinely offers their employees the best of the best including a competitive salary with a hard to match bonus potential, fully paid medical benefits, and generous PTO in a professional environment. Fisher’s goal is pure and simple, support employees as people first. Perhaps most attractive is the promise to allow employees to leave work at work, after the schedule day ends, work life balance is guaranteed. As if this wasn’t enough, Fisher also offers fully paid Maternity and Paternity leave. This is an amazing benefit and commitment from Fisher to support their employees with expanding families. My advice to anyone considering Fisher reading this review is to explore Fisher opportunities yourself before making any conclusions or judgments. If you rely solely on Glassdoor reviews you could definitely miss out on an amazing opportunity.

    Cons

I don’t know of any cons.
