    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at FiveTen Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed the collegiate atmosphere. Noone tried to screw anyone over and everyone was helpful. The training is also a good introduction to recruitment.
    - commission structure is reasonable once you get your head around it
    - rebranded of late
    - name carries weight in the industry though has lost a lot of big hitters and key staff

    Cons

    - off a lot of PSLs they used to be on when former high-fliers were there.
    - bills itself as 'adult' but not really very adult
    - over-promise employees things that in practice are unavailable
    - high staff turnover at senior end means junior staff have learnng gap
    - deceptively ruthless with culling high level staff which creates atmosphere of insecurity across levels and businesses
    - lack of KPIs means that when things aren't working for you, artificial KPIs are applied and is very difficult to prove that you are accomplishing thinga.

    Advice to Management

Encourage retention of high level staff by giving them more of the pie otherwise they'll always leave, leaving a huge skills gap.

I have been working at FiveTen Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities offered to progress within your career, lots of facilities to use and learn with. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Very welcoming place and friendly to work.

    Cons

All decisions are dictated by the accounts department which is rather frustrating when trying to project plan. Going into the kitchen is like walking into the reception class of a primary school. Wish the staff themselves were a bit more considerate and tidy here!

    Advice to Management

No changes needed from management perspective.

I worked at FiveTen Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a few good consultants that actually take the time to learn their market and their candidate pool, but generally the standard is poor.

    Cons

Over promise and under-deliver should be their motto. Senior management need to review their own capabilities as their attitude of do as I say not as I do sets a poor example. Very little in the way of coaching and development. Not a good place to learn your trade or indeed advance your career, there are much better agencies around. No wonder they struggle to keep staff.

I have been working at FiveTen Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are not micro-managed and once you have proven yourself you are given the autonomy to make decisions that make a genuine impact. Very strong support functions.

    Cons

It’s an exciting challenge rather than a con however the scale and complexity of the FiveTen Group matrix does require a lot of graft to excel.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support the people in the business that could be future leaders.

  10. "Rollercoaster ride from the combined internal restructuring and external market conditions"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    • Work/Life Balance

    • Senior Management
    Former Employee - Consultant
    Former Employee - Consultant

    Pros

Global brand, mobility opportunities, potential to join new markets / sectors, large scale recruitment firm that has kept its individual Brands under the Fiveten umbrella.

    Cons

Venture capital buyout and newly merged company, at the time lacked leadership and strategic direction. Moving towards a Hudson business model, whether that is good or bad is a matter of opinion.
