    Pros

Medical benefits are good and employee discounts are attractive. Other than that only that it is convenient if you live in St. Augustine.

    Cons

Low pay, bad moral, uncaring staff, unprofessional behavior of staff, mockery of patients, complete indifference to quality improvement ideas, no growth potential.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring and promoting people with unprofessional attitudes. It doesn't get the job done.

I have been working at Flagler Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working Float Pool PRN, is good because of the hours. Night shift pays extra with your base pay which adds up to 18 an hour.

    Cons

The bad side is Flagler is a small hospital with some of the worst nurses with terrible bedside manners, and bad attitudes towards the Patient Care Tech's.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the bad apples because they're spoiling they are making flagler a terrible place to work. Employees stay only because of money or location.

I worked at Flagler Hospital full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

New nurses will find a talented team available for training and decent pay. The hospital will float you through many different specialties on different floors which will give you greater exposure to different types of patients.

    Cons

Pay raises are not east to come by no matter how well you perform. The higher starting pay quickly falls behind the advancement rate at other hospitals in the area. The leadership positions are well sewn up by long term employees so breaking in to management is very difficult.

    Advice to Management

It may be time to review the pay scales and the mid level management. Getting rid of the ladder system for pay raises was a great idea. The next step toward success should be an honest review of the performance of the mid level nursing supervisors.
