I have been working at Flagstar Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My employees are terrific. Hard working great with our customers. Love my customers. They are so appreciative of everything you do for them.

    Cons

High Stress and lots of pressure to meet goals. Goals are set at Corporate level with no input from branches. Goals are unrealistic and often unobtainable. Management micro-manages staff and doesn't appreciate questions about why they want things done the way they do.

    Advice to Management

Clean the swamp. You've got senior management that has no idea what it's like in the branch. Senior managers should be required to spend time in the branches to see how much time is spent on tasks that should be automated or eliminated. Trust your managers and allow them input to goals.

I worked at Flagstar Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty good benefits, PTO as long as you don't go in the negative

    Cons

Lack of mobility, say they hire within but mostly hire externally, high turnover rate

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. One manager I had even made it a point to comment on my appearance and weight (or lack thereof) every day. Even if they're "just a float." Warnings are issued even if completely legitimate reasons for absence are had.
