Equal Opportunity to succeed and move up

    Pros

The President & CEO is there at HQ always present, always willing to make time for anyone & everyone. He takes great pride in helping all of his employees be successful. This same approach & attitude is shared by all the VP's, Director's & Manager's.

    Cons

Regardless of department -Client services or Sales - When you start, It takes time (2-4 months) to become acclimated. You have to job shadow, take notes, be somewhat quiet and allow to be micro managed before you can independently work.

Fast Moving and Never a Dull Day

    Pros

Fleetworthy is a company that is transitioning from small scale to large scale. As the company continues to grow more opportunities are becoming available for those who put their head down and work towards improving the business. The management team is friendly and executive leadership is available to say hi or provide feedback (good or bad). Working for previous companies I can tell you that is not the case and having a true open door policy is refreshing. Another review spoke about how forthright the company is with details of fiscal performance, among other things, which gives all employees a sense of involvement. Again, another rare activity. The company's goals are noble in the sense that one of their key objectives is to make transportation safer to the public and prevent unsafe drivers from getting behind the wheel or unsafe vehicles from driving on our roadways. With every growing business there are growing pains, but Fleetworthy has found steady footing with the current leadership and have made significant strides forward in employee recognition, investing in people and technology while improving the quality work being output for their clients.

    Cons

Some within the organization have struggled adapting to change. It can create a negative work environment for those around them. This is typical of any work atmosphere and is being improved seemingly on a daily basis.

Don't rely on the disgruntled employee reviews

    Jul 23, 2019 - Undisclosed

    Pros

Opportunity to grow is there. The company is transparent with how it is doing as an organization and is presented to employees on a quarterly basis. I've never worked for a company that is so willing to share. Benefits provided are very good, time off is very good (3 weeks/year) and there are events planned for employees to enjoy. If employees want to be involved, they can be. If they don't want to be, they don't have to be.

    Cons

While I don't view this as a con, the Company expects its employees to prove that they are ready for advancement opportunities (ie. commit to , and excel in, a role), they are not handed to everyone. This upsets employees. There is frequent turnover but the majority of the jobs in customer services aren't really meant to be a career. People burn out for whatever reason. Managers are willing to meet with employees to discuss career advancement and how to get there. Most of the Managers started in lower level roles and worked up to where they are today.

    No Direction. Poorly Managed.

    Pros

    The Development team is great.

    Cons

The company has no structure and doesn't have formal and consistent reviews. There was one employee who had their role change at least three times in two years and never got any sort of feedback or a review. The people on the dev team are great, but they don't get the direction that is necessary to be successful. They are creating a second dev team which is a whole different stack. No one takes the projects that are completed in Dev and QA to the end user. Therefore, the projects just are left to die due to people not knowing that they exist. When I put in my notice for accepting a position at another company the way I was treated was really upsetting. I was told one thing and their actions were completely opposite. I was left with no real departure, exit interview, or info on personal things like 401K, insurance ect.

    Pros

Good opporuntities for people who are willing to win at any cost

    Cons

Toxic managers, lack of HR to resolve toxic management, high turn over, changes direction constantly, lies to employees about the future of the company, only driven to short term success with no long term strategy.

The worst company I have ever worked for

Apr 24, 2019 - Sales in Madison, WI

    Pros

Other than some good co-workers, there are no pros

    Cons

Many company reviews are stuffed with emotion and lack any empirical data...so lets start with data for the year 2018 which should allow you, the reader, to draw some conclusions on your own.... Keep in mind, Fleetworthy isn't a big company and all of these departures are in 2018: VP of Ops quits because CEO accuses him of spying, Head of Implementation quits, 65% of the outside sales team quit, 50% of the account management team (the top performers) quit, head of ops in California quits, the head of implementation quits, and numerous other resignations at varying levels in development, HR, and operations....Finally, the CEO is fired by the BOD. Nearly flat revenue for the year. Sales department data points: Pay is really low in both ops and sales. For an experienced outside technology salesperson, the salary is only about $105k. They lie about the OTE to get you on board...they tell you it is over 200k but it is really about 150k. Commission is only 5% and is payable in the first and second year and none for the third year. There is no lead generation of any kind...their mantra is 80 cold calls a day and you have to report it weekly. That would be ok if this was a service that someone actually wanted. Only the truly desperate fleets will use a service like this. Think about it....Their service takes the place of the people and the manager that do the DOT compliance at the customer...and these are the people you are trying to sell the service to. There is absolutely no product training. Their branding is decent but it is all smoke and mirrors. The former EVP of sales is now the CEO and he spent a significant amount of his time trying to save existing accounts from cancelling their business. The technology team is a joke. I have never seen so little software produced by so many people. The current software set is really thin...all sizzle and no steak, not much functionality. Everything of value lies within the knowledge of the operations people who actually do the work rather than in the technology....and they are overworked and caught in archaic management scenarios. When the CEO got fired late last year, everyone was happy because he was awful and incompetent. Little did we know, that we were jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. The EVP of sales took over as president and then was recently promoted to CEO. It's hard to believe, but he is worse than the former CEO. He's arrogant, demeaning, even more incompetent, and doesn't have a clue how to manage teams or drive revenue in the 21st century. He lacks empathy and has no concept of how to treat people properly. We all think his days are numbered too.
