Best place I've worked so far
Sep 27, 2014 - Quote Project Manager in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Quarterly bonuses, good management, friendly co-workers, good pay, provides raises, some flexibility with personal schedule. Perks like on site cafeteria and coffee bar. Time off was adequate and benefits were decent.
Cons
HVAC system and building need updated. Not really on board with telecommuting. Team initiatives was not a strong point, and options for growth were limited. Training was sporadic.

Brutal Business, Great Coworkers
Feb 7, 2020 - Supply Chain Manager in San Jose, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Flexible work hours and work arrangements -Excellent work/life balance -Great coworkers -Global reach and global impact -Fast-moving, fulfilling work that changes constantly -Ethical company that treats workers fairly -Diverse workforce - get to work with people of different ages, skills and backgrounds from around the world -(In San Jose/Milpitas) Great access to top leadership -Low employee turnover -(In San Jose) Spectacular views of the Bay from the office -Plenty of diverse career options in such a large company -Promotions are merit-based and high performers can move up quickly If money is the most important factor for you, Flex probably isn't the right place, but if you want to leave before sunset most days, I think Flex is a great place to work. Almost everyone I work with is bright, hard-working and could make more money somewhere else, but choose Flex so they can spend more time with their families.
Cons
Contract manufacturing is a brutal business and meager profits mean the company can't offer the same frills as other Bay Area tech companies. Also, fluctuations in demand make the business prone to layoffs. -Average benefits package and time off -Limited or no employee stock options -Salaries are low to average -Maternity benefits are barely better than what is required by law -Working with HR can be frustrating since the HR team is fragmented. Interviewing and negotiating my offer was a poor experience, but I don't think these negative interactions are indicative of the rest of the company.

Bad Management- Quality Department
Jul 22, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pay is ok and the benefits are good. There are alot of experienced inspectors working inthe quality department with great work ethics. Most of the people are very helpful to new employees.
Cons
While there are good inspectors, most inspectors are not compensated for their experience and contribution to the success of the company. This is due in part to the people who are placed in supervisory positions without the skills and knowledge that are needed for this position and this includes working with different races, genders, and backgrounds. Supervisors who strategically place inspectors that they like in key working areas only when it is time for layoffs so that their job will be secured. Unfortunately, this causes good experienced people to be laid off. The bad thing about this is that the supervisor who encourages bad work habits from the inspectors such as long breaks and lunches, falsifying time and worst of all, the mentallity that "it's all about quanity not quality", is still employed to start all over again.

Keep taking more away from the workers to give more to upper management.
Jun 16, 2011 - Production Scheduler in Charlotte, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You can gain valuable work experience and exposure to all aspects of global manufacturing. You will learn lean six sigma continuous improvement.
Cons
It seems that raises and promotions are a thing of the past except for the management team. Company 401k contributions have been stopped and employee contribution for benefits continue to go up.
