It department ,the fact that you can get a promotion simply by doing your job , and being dedicated to it (doing it well).
Cons
Managers are too uptight most of the times....way too much hustle for something they don`t really acknowledge...

dynamic company, lots of opportunities, smart people, good culture
Cons
mid-level managers are bureaucratic/political and not always deserving of their positions
We appreciate you taking the time to review Flex, and do believe we offer a dynamic culture, with many internal opportunities. We are listening to the cons as well, and taking action where appropriate. We all have a role in improving our culture at Flex. Thank you.

Pros
There are some really smart, dedicated, pleasant people there - both individual contributors and managers - but they are a small minority. Pay and benefits are not top-tier but not too bad. A lot of opportunities to learn about the business and gain valuable experience. Management seems understanding when it comes to certain personal issues and emergencies.
Cons
This is the most dysfunctional organization of any kind I have ever seen. Again, while there are some truly outstanding people, most have little sense of teamwork, flexibility, or customer focus. The average quality - work ethic, skill level, intelligence - is much lower than the OEM world. There is a lot of the 'that's not my job' attitude. The organization as a whole is completely incompetent and so many mistakes are constantly made that customers are in a constant state of escalation and the few good people have to kill themselves to get anything done. Politics are rampant and most managers treat their areas as their own fiefdoms. Some managers are frequently dishonest and unethical but allowed to get away with it. Depending on the job, the work load can be horrific - forget work-life balance. There is not enough direct or indirect labor to do everything in a quality way - management always says this is temporary but that's not true. Some days it seems that accomplishing any little thing is a struggle due to bad attitude, laziness, or ineptness. As the job market continues to improve, the good employees with decent resumes will leave. No one with options would willingly stay here.

Process Engineer

Annual reviews that increases your salary, good benefits (life insurance and others). Working at Flextronics is the best way to get experience and learn many things.
Cons
- The salary increases are for the people that is friend of someone of the top of the organization. - It is difficult to get that your boss can promote you. - Sometime the plant managers are people that is very protected and they can do whathever they want. - The values and the reality are not the same.

Good benefits
Jan 13, 2020 - Construction Executive in LinköpingRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good benefits. I worked as a consultant, so didn't spend much time at the actual office. Most managers were relaxed and easy-going. Interesting customers and products.
Cons
Not the most exciting offices.

Pros
I have a couple colleagues that have become friends. Many of my colleagues speak a different language and have variety of training. We have a wonderful building.
Cons
Beware joining Flex. When looking at the Glassdoor reviews be sure to filter for North American and/or NA cities. We have been and continue to go through significant change (read: layoffs). Unfortunately, the new CEO has made a weak first impression in the States. Leadership in HQ seems afraid and acting against best interest. Vice Presidents and General Managers seem to be digging into the one thing that Flex does very well: bureaucracy. The trouble is we continue to be very weak around customers and what they need. Weak around recruiting, salary and winning talent. The goal seems to be higher margin work but 1. all the high margin services have been [or are heard to be via the grapevine] cut 2. we're weighed down by brutally life draining arcane systems 3. we win by cost.

Pros
My manager (VP) was strong and fair. Good folks in general work there. Regional and Global operations are well run and focus on the right things in general
Cons
global politics are rampant and ugly. Mike Mac needs to finally do something about this culture of back stabbing... its gone on way too long.

Typical MEGA corporation mentality
Jun 5, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Milpitas, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good benefits, opportunities to try different departments for better fit and wide variety of types of positions. Lots of locations worldwide so opportunity to travel or for relocation.
Cons
Corporate management and structure is constantly changing. The company is so large they have no depth in actual experienced managers for a variety of the segments. Ends up just a corporate pencil pusher or finance people really making decisions. This may work for their electronics divisions but not so great for some of the other more highly regulated divisions.
