I worked at FlexTrade Systems Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work from home is available sometimes. Other than that, it's hard to think of Pros.

    Cons

The atmosphere inside is gloomy. People are miserable at all times. It would be pointed out if you "laugh too much" or "talk too much". It's true. It has happened to me and to others in front of me.

I have been working at FlexTrade Systems Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I assume the commute would be a pro if you live on Long Island, otherwise, none from a career perspective. They let employees work from home frequently, which is a pro for those that do it..

    Cons

Management is disorganized and they don't have any defined strategy. It is a family run business which shows extreme favoritism. There is no sense or urgency by the staff and therefore deadlines get regularly missed with zero accountability. The turn over is high and the compensation is low which results in sub par employees who don't get paid enough to care about the end clients. The culture is also not a fun place to work and the office is out in Long Island making it a terrible, expensive commute. I would not recommend working here to anyone. This is specific to the US office only. I believe London and Singapore are run very differently, however this results in disorganization and no one seems to be on the same page.

I have been working at FlexTrade Systems Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work is decent if you land in a good team though it quickly gets saturated as the scope of your work is limited

    Cons

This company is a family owned business, the family will not hesitate to squeeze off the employees until the last penny.Proof is that you have to negotiate with the CEO for all year end compensation revisions.
Compensation is way less than the market.Negligible perks.Bonus is too low.
Employment is offered only to those desperate ones who will join at the lowest salary possible.
Promotion is hard to come by.

    Advice to Management

Stop just collecting money, start caring for employees.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at FlexTrade Systems Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small company with lots of hats to wear at any given time.
A huge presence in the industry, and their name on a resume will open doors.

    Cons

Management is based on nepotism and whims.
There is not really a structure that supports employee growth.
Bonuses are based on CEO's feelings rather than reviews.
Management tends to like docile employees and cannot be challenged in any way.
They equate presence at your desk as productivity, not actual work.
Regardless of how much you do, if you are not popular with management, you will not go anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to manage people and let them grow. It is better to admit you are wrong and create a great working environment, than insist you are right and bad one. Also, people in management roles should learn how to manage. Just look at your turn around rates...they are rather high.

    Pros

There is not much that can be listed as Pros tbh.

    Cons

    Very bad management
    Really bad HR
    Dead end for the career
    Hint of Racism

    Advice to Management

    For SG office:

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

The people here are friendly. No worry about layoff. That's about it. Lots of sick leaves since there is no accountability.

    Cons

1 the pay is way below par and increments are fixed no matter how hard you work. Hence no one really cares to put in the extra effort. They just do the bare minimum
2 the higher management does not care about you.
    3. The system is super buggy and qa is practically non existent. Example there are 10 developer for 1 qa person.
    4. It's a complete sweat shop.

    Advice to Management

Stop running it like a sweat shop and take care of your employees. Invest in your employees. That's the best way to grow.
