I have been working at Flexco full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

All the people are great to work with
Seems that everyone is decently compensated
For non hourly workers, work hours are very flexible

    Cons

    Part of a dying industry
Work life balance could be better (while the hours are flexible you may be expected to work many hours)
    Generally disengaged sales team
    Communication could be better

    Pros

Great management. Company truly cares about the employees. Many employees have been working their since they graduated. I highly recommend this company.

    Cons

Not a lot of mobility for the engineers as I understand. They are likely stuck working on very similar projects for years at a time unless they change companies.

    Advice to Management

Keep being awesome. Great Bonuses at Christmas time. Paid Time off. Tuition reimbursement. Everything management does is awesome.

I have been working at Flexco full-time

    Pros

Benefits & if you want to cheat perfect job for it

    Cons

A bunch of traveling and waist of money. If I'm going to have to travel to "train" then lets train. Tons of free booze a ranch in the middle of Texas, dinners out and running here and there is just stupid. If you have a family this is the worse place you can park with all the needles time away. I'm not trying or wanting to hang out with any of you. Like the previous employee stated above "I just want to work get a check and go home" I'm not interested in kicking back and flying here and there for nothing. All this traveling for training and we have "nothing to do"
I'm already looking else where and just got hired.
I have only seen one minority working here so far, I don't see it being diversified at all and I'm sick of being away from my family so up mamagement thinks they are doing something with fancy hotels, flights, and endless booze

    Advice to Management

Get a grip. All the traveling and "training" you think that you're doing it's simply not taking place in your wasting money. Why don't you just donate them to charity and quit wasting peoples time. The endless supply free booze is just astonishing!

I have been working at Flexco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very competitive compensation. Great Benefits (pension!) Current CEO is a good guy to have at the top, very approachable and decent human being.

Good place if you want an easy job and meet some decent people.

Not a typical corporate world place where everyone is only looking out for themselves.

    Cons

Most managers have been there a very long time and have never worked anywhere else. Have no idea there are better ways to do things since they've only ever done it the "Flexco" way.

Not a challenging work environment. No accountability for most people.

At my weekly meetings, my manager likes to discuss my work projects for 10 minutes and then about themselves and their family for next 50 minutes every week. Manager wants to be my "BFF" which is great but I'm really there to do my job and get my paycheck. Wish HR would do something about it but they are pretty Laissez-faire themselves.

Lots of cliques. Most people have been there 20 plus years so if you are new it will take a long time to break in.

Very behind in technology. Need to embrace the digital age.

Aged workforce-Seems like everyone is 50 or over (I am under 50 and feel like a minority)

    Advice to Management

Hire more young to mid career workers (20-40's). Train managers how to be managers or get rid of them (especially my manager ;-) DG office is depressing to work at, Lisle office is a ghost town. Create better work environment for office workers.

I have been working at Flexco as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexco is very family orientated, they want their employees to succeed and they always seem to be making decisions with their employees well-being in mind. Part of this is that their are private and don't need to answer to any shareholders/

    Cons

No clear opportunity to advance or move up, most of Flexco's workforce is about to hit retirement age and there is almost no new talent at the company.

    Advice to Management

    None.
