I worked at Flexi compras full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some good people locally and promotion from within first.

    Cons

I believe Flexi has completely folded up their operations in Las Vegas. I served as a GM while there. I left because of a change in management and I wasn't comfortable with the concept of encouraging people to pay a high interest rate on products. If they made the same payments to themselves for some months they could pay cash for an item. It did take longer to get it but they would save/pay for a shorter time. It conflicted with my values but it did serve a purpose for people that do not any financial discipline.

I worked at Flexi compras full-time

    Pros

Pay is good. Coworkers are excellent. Relationships built with customers make it easier to do business. Pretty easy job when all coworkers are trained on their duties.

    Cons

Not enough people coming through the doors. We need better marketing. The people we do get, don't deserve to be harrassed multiple times daily for payment. Office changes their business model on us every couple of months when things don't work out. President and CEO need to get up to speed with new times. They don't have any vision or new ideas. Good thing the owner has deep pockets, this company is hemorrhaging cash and most stores can't turn a profit due to all the negativity associated with the name Flexi by previous owners and employees that did so many people wrong.

    Advice to Management

Find your own identity. Set yourself apart and quit acting like a little brother copying and doing the same promotions that Rent a Center and Aarons just finished doing. The micromanaging is starting to get out of hand.

    Pros

I will say that the company was accommodating in certain aspects but not enough to make it beneficial for employees.

    Cons

Company model was a great idea but was implemented incorrectly due to this the company did not stay in business and Arizona

    Advice to Management

I just wish the company the best of luck on its endeavors in Texas

    Pros

Now that y'all got your butts saved until you screw up yet again. Which is coming around the corner very soon. Go for it! Up those prices some more to make your millions of dreams go down the ole flusher. I have to hand it to y'all. Awesome job growing that limping company.

    Cons

Really??? Bill Short!! OMG!! History always makes a return!!! Just like in the good ole days.... 'All Dat Brotherly Love'. All mushie... until someone gets FIRED.

    Advice to Management

Just shut it down already!! You should have taken my offer to save y'all's butt. With fuel costs going down and more than 68% of the population in San Antonio, Texas are overweight, you should have taken my offer. That's what hard headed presidents do not realize, their employees have more logical sense by making money. Too bad. You once had an empire, now you're nearly scrapping it off the ground. Shame on you!

    Pros

Smart enough to have been in major retailers.
Fast paced environment was good for sales.

    Cons

Told managers no pay raises were happening.
Company can't figure out how to turn a profit.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what you want to be. You are not the leader in your field so you have to try and find some advantage to survive.

    Pros

Pay is ok. Not having to work Sunday is good.

    Cons

Management/employees overworked. Promises are never kept. They say you can ask for time off but PTO only useable after a year of working there and only if you get it approved by upper management. Still waiting for bonus we were promised for staying while new owners transition in. Has a good ol boy system in place. Ive seen a couple managers yell and cuss out employees/flat out abusive and once in front of a customer. Seems like we are always training new employees because off the high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Don't put people in your dog house right away and mistreat employees just because they don't answer their phone on a their day off. Some management have great selling skills but have no clue as how to care for their employees. Its only about what's in it for them.
