    I worked at Flextronics full-time

    Pros

Competitive pay, quarterly bonuses, travel opportunities, wide range of projects to keep busy with and exciting technologies to witness

    Cons

Little oversight and camaraderie. For a technology company in the Bay Area, they do very little to attract young workers who make up most of the workforce in the area. Company traditions are stiff and outdated, as are most of the employees. They could do a lot more to attract and bring in youthful energy to an aging company

    Advice to Management

Make working for the company more exciting and interesting to the new workforce, the 20-somethings who are all moving to the Bay Area for tech jobs. Most of the employees are middle-aged and while there is nothing wrong with that, it is not very interesting or exciting for new graduates and younger employees.

    Cons

Hard to advance or move up. Nothing much to improve technically.

    Advice to Management

Need to provide more opportunity for employees who have the potential to advance.

I have been working at Flextronics full-time

    Pros

Decent work/life balance depending on the project. A lot of opportunity to learn many different functions and not be restricted to only the duties of your title.

    Cons

Benefits aren't that great, pay raises really only account for cost of living, and little opportunity for promotion. Their business model isn't designed to retain talent, just cost reduction.

    Advice to Management

Not much advice, contract manufacturing mentality and decision making is already designed into the business model. Unfortunately that doesn't include a large focus on employee retention.
