    Pros

Flex is a large company focused on educating its employees. Training is mandatory, but easy to fallow at your own pace.

I worked at Flextronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team spirited environment. Fantastic Leadership with goals that, while most cannot meet, Flextronics USA can!

    Cons

Focus is kept with acquiring overseas bids at competitive rates. This causes erratic stability for employment. Lay offs are imminent.

    Advice to Management

Focus on Government and military contracts to maintain stability to the workforce that devotes themselves to you.

I worked at Flextronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits were average, good training, co-workers were awesome, good learning experience.

    Cons

Management was horrible, they do not care about their employees, they are only looking after their backs. I was hired for a position requiring a skill set which they knew nothing about & basically they tried to get as much information out of me to get the job done, they had me writing proceedures & so forth, I was basically digging my own grave for a layoff. I saw the writing on the wall, so I merely gave them minimal information. Hopefully they will dig their own grave because most of the critical information they wanted I kept to myself. Also raises were minimal as I expected from reading this web site. I am assuming this company does not get it, the word gets around & no one will be looking for a job within this company knowing that the employees are being treated this way. Good luck Flex because I won't be going back, as well as all my friends & contacts that I have made aware of your actions. This company is heartless & do not care about their employees. I hope you don't waste your time with this employer, because that is what you will be doing....

    Advice to Management

None what so ever !!! They never did listen & I don't think they ever will....

I worked at Flextronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flex is one of if not the largest contract manufacturing company in the world. The company takes great pride in its employees. The benefit package is very good, and the salary is competitive. Because the company is so large and varied it is possible to move to different positions without having to leave the company.

Management is proactive and I believe they are incentivized to promote their staff members to higher positions.

    Cons

The primary con, is that the company is so large that sometimes you can get lost and forgotten about. It is hard to make a name for yourself or to get your accomplishments recognized by the right people.

    Advice to Management

Don't get so caught up in your own career advancement that you forget the members of your team. The environment is very challenging and sometimes managers get caught up in "winning" the game and lose sight of the people that are working for them.
