    Pros

It's a job at the very least!

    Cons

...that barely pays the bills. Plus you will be working closely with people that work on an assembly line. It is a very unhappy place.

    Advice to Management

The people you manage are not your enemies.

I have been working at Flextronics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Senior Management is generally very supportive of front line employee's.
    Positive atmosphere among co-workers.
Focus is entirely on support and not sales.
    Job security

    Cons

Contractually at the mercy of the client. The client dictates and funds all aspects of business operations, which at times means working with your hands tied.

The per store head count staffing model needs to be updated. Little to no flexibility when it comes down to employee turnover or employee's taking vacation or calling out sick - impacts work/life balance.

Front line customer service reps are underpaid for work that is done.

    Advice to Management

If it is possible, negotiate better with the client to improve store operations (device applications tools, staffing and pay)

I have been working at Flextronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to advance and get attention of other companies. You learn more at this job than any other I have ever had.

    Cons

They grind you to the bone and expect more from you than is possible. Very cut throat industry and very political internally makes it difficult to get things accomplished.

    Advice to Management

I would say to set realistic expectations and allow your employees to learn about aspects outside their job that enable them to be better at their job.

    Pros

    Cons

Too many to list, level of corruption is widespread. Managers sleeping at their desks is tolerated by other managers to cover each other. 2 people work under most managers. Sad waste of company funds. HR is complacent. Too many managers and no work.

    Advice to Management

Someone needs to flush the toilet and get rid of the managers at the Austin Site. They are all corrupt. From HR on down.
