I have been working at Floor and Decor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you have the drive and desire to move up in the company, it’s very easy.

    Cons

At the end of the day it’s still a retail environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you’re doing. Each store needs a little more consistency though (policies and procedures, how they are enforced, vary from store to store)

    Pros

After you learn the things you need to know, the job becomes much easier.

    Cons

If you do not like the people you're working, then you are stuck with them anyway x)

    Advice to Management

Career is weak. More incentives, benefits, and quicker.

I have been working at Floor and Decor full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No problem keeping busy, tons to do. Time flies by.

    Cons

Ghetto atmosphere, building and equipment is falling apart. Incompetence is epidemic and the disease will end up killing the organization.

    Advice to Management

    RESIGN!
You owe it to the shareholders and the employees to get out of the way in favor of someone with vision.
Suppose you hire talented people and actually USE the skill sets they've brought with them. instead of misusing them to do the high-schooler jobs no one else wants. SHAME ON YOU!

    Cons

Work to pay ratio is horrible

I worked at Floor and Decor full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros to this job.

    Cons

    • Company only cares about wither it makes money or not.
    • You can easily tell this company does not care about their employees.
    • At the Reno store almost all the employees are rude and selfish.
    • The hours SUCK! You barely get hours and of course it’s all based off sales, so if your store doesn’t do so well then your hours go down.
•Pay is not good at all, you bust your butt for 2 weeks and end up getting almost close to nothing every paycheck.
•Benefits aren’t even good either. For one person it’s about $250 if you don’t wanna end up a 45% copay.
    • Everyone’s ends up leaving at some point, most of the people at the store I worked ended up leaving because of the management, pay, hours, and other employees.
    • Corporate and upper management at stores are the worst people to deal with, they aren’t mature and they like to pretend they’re doing their job.
    • You don’t get trained properly at ALL. The people there don’t like cross training and management always ends up changing how people get changed.

Here’s some advice if you do make the mistake in working here:
    1. Don’t trust management at all.
    2. You’ll end up hating it instantly.
    3. Expect the drama that’s all people live for.
    4. They don’t care about you.
    5. JUST FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO WORK FOR.
    6. Management is very, very biased.

    Advice to Management

Please do yourselves a favor and save your self from having so many people leave your store! You all like to pretend you care but you DONT and all your associates can tell. Maybe if one of your associates confined in you maybe comfort them and not go straight to the CEM and OPS MGR involved so fast. Some people trust you guys but in the end you honestly truly don’t care, also I’m sure people would appreciate if you all did your jobs properly. I really hope you all see this so that way there is chance your company or store(Reno) will actually be good! Also stop playing favorites we all know you do.
