    No no no no Pros

    Cons

Campus Leadership is an oxymoron when spoken in the same breath.
The Executive Director cannot lead by anything remotely original.
ED talks about top talent but where is it?? Certainly not him.
All he can do is talk about his “vision board” that is looking really bleak since he was bucking for a big promo and all he got was a No-No. He was passed over like the low talent con that he is.
His 2 hour staff meetings are nothing more than items he finds on the internet that someone else created.
He grades instructors that can run circles around him.
ED needs to reevaluate how much juice HE is squeezing out of his own orange since his world is now upside down.
The campus is still operated by fear- layoffs are pending. Watch and see people- you are disposable.
Department heads are in fighting like nothing ever seen but the real blame comes from the lack of ED quality leadership.
Good people are gone and it shows in everything on the campus.
Students are leaving by the dozens every month.
    RECORD NUMBER DROPS.
    ATTENDANCE IS IN THE TOILET.
Drops are being held from one month to the next. Students should be dropped after 2 weeks are on the books for 3 weeks or more.

    Advice to Management

The CEO and RVPO allowed this train wreck to happen so you need to course correct. It’s sad that this ghetto campus will make millions still - fraudulently for the most part but until you get caught you are allowing good people to suffer at the hands of a bad hire.

I worked at Florida Career College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed some of the people I worked with.

    Cons

Campus survey score was in the low 60% range. That should tell you something about working there. I have not left yet, but I will be soon. I have never worked some where with such disregard for students and employees.

ED holds 2 3 hour meetings each week and discusses how great he is. How nice of him to take the time. Maybe we should discuss students and plans.

ED has his own parking spot and a palm tree to shade his car. We can pay for parking signs and trees, but not classroom supplies. Also, he has his picture up all over the school with message on how to win in life. Maybe try talking to students, working past 5pm and getting the school cleaned.

Consistent disregard for students, employees and regulations. All swept under the rug.

Have been short HVAC instructors for months. We just combine classes and violate standards. The students are in classes that are way over the minimum.

There are at least 11 instructors that are ready to walk out. ED buys a new fridge and thinks this will solve all. Next they will be giving us shirts thinking it will make the team happy.

Questionable activities around attendance. It appears students are given credit when not there. Also, students show up for 15 minutes are counted as present.

Admissions practices are horrible. They enroll everyone without pause or question. Then pass the buck to education. I had a student start that was 8 months pregnant, one that just got out of jail and another that has three felony convictions for drugs. None of the students understood the challenges they will face finding employment.

School is filthy and dirty. They started fixing the HVAC lab in May. Work stopped in June. The lab is a joke.

Students sit in the parking lot and smoke pot. They reek of it when they come to class, but you can't sent them home. Reason, we are helping them - lol.

School student attendance is around 60%. How can you teach when no one comes to class. Not every instructor is bad. Students come and go as they please.

Not without surprise we are unable to place students due to failed drug tests, not showing up to interviews, no resumes and criminal backgrounds.

Rumor has it that most of the career services is looking for new jobs.

In 24 months we have had 4 directors of finance, 4 DOAs, going on our 5th DOE, 3 DOCs and 4 EDs. Does anyone see the problem with this?

From what I understand we are now re-starting loans for students if they are unable to pay. Or we sell them to a bank. Only being done to make numbers look better and shafts th student with debt. How about not enrolling a student that can't pay.

School does not have the required equipment. Students do not have what is needed for hands on learning. Supplies are always missing.

The ED works 9 to 5 and is never available. He never visits classes or talks to students. Ego is out of control.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at admissions if you want to know what is wrong with Orlando. Then look at turnover as well as your new ED.
