I have been working at Florida Hospital Heartland full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Love the faith based environment and staff. Enjoy the many services we provide and the mission driven atmosphere. Always striving to focus on employee engagement & developing the teams.

    Cons

Not everyone believes and follows the mission but in every work place, there are many diverse individuals and we must love them all.

    Pros

Small town appeal. Pay is competitive to local market.

    Cons

Is competitive within the departments? Managers play favorites. Not always keep promises.

    Advice to Management

Don't make promises you know you can't keep.

I have been working at Florida Hospital Heartland full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

An organization that is mission-minded in all that they do. They truly take to heart what they do knowing that the people they care for matter. When you have people working together and caring for one another as members of the same mission it makes an immense difference. This organization has giving me a life changing career path, and more than that a clear direction and mission.

    Cons

Any cons that I can think of are overshadowed by the organization as a whole, it is special. There will always be individuals who make things difficult at times (that's a given) but there is no other organization that I would rather work for right now.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop the leadership (Directors and Managers) and keep them accountable. They can make or break a department and this organization deserves to keep the best employees possible.

    Pros

Great benefits, plenty of hours to work. The most positive thing about working for Florida Hospital, is that they encourage Christianity. They are 7th day adventist and proud of it.

    Cons

Unorganized, poorly managed, low pay. They claim to care about you and your family but ultimately they are a buisness. They want you to work more then you are getting paid for. Rules change depending on who you are. If you are from the Philippines, you can do no wrong.

    Pros

Able to pray and worship openly. Very beutuiful building and grounds. Is non-profit but brings in other money's from community through the "Foundation." Another non-profit part of Florida Hospital Heartland. Its all smoke and mirrors once you get behind closed doors and understand it.

    Cons

Human resources and new management are ridiculous. They try and say they are a family. You would not fire your child if they made bad grades. Plus they are the ones grading you. There newest thing is getting rid of "unhappy peaple" with a low-medium-high evaluation given by your supervisor that is subjective. Not based on your job performance and duties.

    Advice to Management

Don't attempt to pray and minister to grown adults you know you are deceiving. A job is a job. NOT A FAMILY. The CEO of LinkedIn recently did an interview on this subject. Look it up and take notes.

I have been working at Florida Hospital Heartland full-time

    Pros

Great Health Insurance Benefits, You meet a lot of great people, when you do well; your immediate supervisors are always recognizing you.

    Cons

I really enjoy working here, the only 'con' is that the rest of the hospital (nurses, administration, technicians) look down on you like your work is the easiest job on the planet and they don't know why they pay us. If only they knew that our work being accurate is what gets the hospital paid!

    Advice to Management

Not much. I enjoy my time here. Sometimes they dont "stick up for us" when they receive complaints about us or when someone bad mouths us. So, my advice would be, if you treat us like our job is important, maybe the rest of the hospital will.
