    Tendency to have a committee for everything. Generally, it is a higher education problem where no one wants to take responsibility for decision making.

    Choose to have a committee when it truly is necessary and in need of different opinions.

    I can't speak for other supervisors, but mine is the most attentive and kind person I've ever worked for. I would stay here forever if it wasn't in Miami

    Some of the red tape of working for a university can get daunting, but it's tolerable.

    Flexible schedule and hours, summers off, new and exciting environment every semester.

    Cons

    Stressful. Constantly need to work around advisers tight schedules to have meetings and get forms signed. Low pay for the amount of work you perform.

    Great benefits, create work atmosphere. Really cares a lot about their employees. This is also considered a state job with pension

    Cons

    Pay isn’t so competitive when working in an area like Miami where the cost of living is so high. Have to pay for parking on campus.
